Great players all of the above mentioned. Alan Hudson has been in ill heath again. I hear he was improving again though. Chapman,Dixon and Bould were fantastic in the early 80s for us but obviously went on to much bigger things with Arsenal....maybe not so much Chapman to be fair. Two of my favourite players to play for Arsenal then on to Stoke City were Brian Talbot and John Devine. They both did well but Devine was plagued with injury,but on his day he was ace,imo.

Pennant should of been a top top player and I think he wasted his talent. Woulda,coulda,shoulda, honestly, he should of been up there, again,just my opinion.

George Eastham also, obviously know of him but don't remember him playing, he scored in the 72 league cup final v Chelsea. Brain Moore said the old man has done it...in his commentary. Older fans than me say Eastham was a great thinker and should of been playing 10 years in the future than rather the 60s or 70s.

I love 70s and 80s footy, some great players from them era's . Its nice to reminisce ....PS Sebastian Svard also...had him on loan 2004'ish....and also Steve Sidwell......

George Eastham...man there is a name from the past. When I was a kid I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa....we had 2 main teams in CT, Hellenic & CT City. English players used to come to SA at the end of their careers and George Eastham was one of them. He played for Hellenic along with Gordon Banks... I haven't heard his name mentioned for 30 odd years

CT City had Lorimer, Hurst, Frannie Lee....... Roy Hodgson played for Berea Park... a real plodder, a journeyman.
