True. But in all honesty I tend to not put much faith in people that just write a player off after a couple of bad performances. Diaby had potential back then and in a few games he looked the real deal. My thoughts were now he has to start doing that in every game he plays, but he didn't. I think he's been given long enough to deliver. Walcott has had his first season with a proper pre-season and has done well in most games, though I was there for the Stoke game and he was awful.
But would not sell him, when fit he would always be in the team for me, though slight of build he has bottle, has positional versatility and as others have pointed out we need pace in the team.
Clichy, Walcott and Nasri are probably the only three genuine fast players now, team has slowed since days of Cole > Pires > Henry > Goal.
