Arsenal XI: Raya; Partey, White, Gabriel, Timber; Rice, Merino; Saka, Havertz, Trossard, Martinelli
Game lost right there, couple that with a mis firing Trossard and MArtinelli, a crocked Saka and Timber and an under performing rice there only one outcome here bar some form of miracle performance.
What’s with the negativity. They are starting because they’ve been assessed and passed fit. The rest is conjecture. It is positive news and I hope the crowd can get behind the team.

Personally I would have played rice centre back, white right back and partey midfield

Timber used to playing CB ...no way would move Rice there....we need him in midfield...

as for Partey at full back going to be a nervous 90 mins

I’ll be more than happy to be proved wrong.

But legoheads management is found wanting time after time, rushing players back too early cause he’s under pressure. Don’t be surprised if we take a beating here and Saka hobbles off

Partey at RB was Artetas first choice before he got injured at the start of last season. Got to see something in it

It'll be interesting to see how Partey, Merino & Saka work on the right. With the exception of Saliba missing it's not such a bad line up as I thought.

Cmon Arsenal! Win by any means. :D

Not as bad a line-up as I had imagined. Thank fuck that Zinchenko isn't starting and in the middle, Rice and Merino are experienced enough and good enough to know what to do. Up front, we can create chances but we need to stick them away. Partey is my main concern because I can see him going for a wander and getting caught out of position too often. Gabriel and White need to be in his ear all game. Fucking come on, at them from the off.

Don’t be surprised if we get a result and you don’t get the chance to be miserable. I would’ve been more worried if he’d been overly cautious like Venga would’ve done and ruled out Saka and Timber

Partey will drift into midfield and White will move across to cover RB for probably 90% of the game.

I suppose the thinking is even if Saka is just 10% fit then it’s a better option than Jesus !

Couldn't agree more... So far Merino has been Really "Weak" in the tackle, slow in his thinking & passing... Maybe he'll come Alive today and Hopefully prove me wrong.
