Today we were shit and we should hold our heads in shame that we did not beat what was a really shit Liverpool team. I cannot believe that we did not put them to the sword because they were certainly there for the taking. I remember as a kid when Liverpool had great teams and getting a one all draw against them was seen as a success, not anymore those days are long long, liverpool haven't won a league title in nineteen years and are just also rans, we should be beating shit teams like this, just as manure did recently. Scousers are shit people, they even mug their their own....Oh yeah and then blame the red tops for crushing 96 fans....bunch of *word censored*

Very disappointed with todays (lack of) effort. It was almost like they were sent out not to lose but don't fuck yourselves up for Wednesday(edit. or even Tuesday  ). Cesc looked knackered and played a few sloppy passes out there. Aw should have started with Gilberto and Flamini in the middle and given Cesc a break.
I can't believe how much we miss Clichy and Sagna when they're not there. They have become essential to this team and their back ups are not up to it at all. Hoyte is well of the level we need and Traore is not there yet but being so young I'll give him the benefit for now.
As for Eboue, why doesn't that c*nt go and do something useful for a change. Whining, diving, tosser. The sooner he fucks off the better.
I've been saying since before Christmas that I thought we would finish third and it now looks like it could be the case. If we lose Tuesday then we can consider our season over!

Wenger lost it ??

Post by The Goner »

So come on "Lets be avin you " Has the boss lost it ? The team selection today was shite !!How many of you thought we had a chance of winning the title before today ? Surely Le Boss must have realised that we have no chance, so why did he play Cesc ? He was knackered, so was Flamster We had Song on the bench why didnt he play him and save Cesc for Tuesday ? Where ther hell is Denilson ? Where the hell are " The Kids ", You know the ones that were giving everybody orgasms just a few games ago ! We have been labouring along for the last few weeks with players that have been running on empty ! Our squad is not strong enough to win anything other than the very cup we should have won ! We are saving our top players for the big two, says the boss . The F A Cup and Mickey Mouse are minor cups we are going for the big ones. Well Arsene we are now going to win FUCK ALL again. But do not worry "the kids " are coming through. When exactly will that be ? Next year, the year after. Wake up and smell the coffee boss. It aint going to happen.!! Today we play with two six foot plus centre forwards and where do they play ? one on the left wing the other on the right.! I felt for Bendtner today because he was isolated up front in the first half. At least he put himself about and scored a goal. What did Adebayor do ? The same as he has done for the last two months, play left wing ,like his hero Thierry, and give the ball away at every opportunity. Good job he did not play the whole game ! Why did we need Both Flamini and Cesc to play when we had Gilberto starting ? Surely we could have played two up front and left Cesc at home with his feet up . Win at Anfield ? You are avin a larf .

Man U have tricky games, Chelsea are capable of dropping points so there was a chance, not now unless Man U do lose tomorrow.

Kids? Well Vela and Merdia are on loan, Traore played, Gibbs is on loan, half of the ones preparing to step up next season are on loan, we have Lansburry, Denilson and Song as well as Traore and young Fabs.

Oh shit, you are just asking for a slice of humble pie bro. Cesc ain't the kind of player to dip in form and stay dipped. A bit like your Stevie G. He's a young fella and by Tuesday will be full of life once more. I'd be afraid, and I know you Liverboys will be, it's ok, he is Fabregas by the way. We'll be wary of Gerrard and Torres, but do not discount Cesc, hell if you do then Cesc is gonna get ya!

We made 8 changes. Our CORE of Gerrard, Torres, Alonso, Babel, Kuyt, Aurelio, Mash were all missing.
Gerrard/Fabregas no swap from either team
Alonso/Mash (as only one gets picked)/Flamini no swap from either team
Torres/Van Persie no swap from either team
Babel/Rosicky no swap from either team
Aurelio/Clichy or Sagna you want a swap
Kuyt/Hleb you want a swap

1st XI Vs 1st XI you guys got some making up to do, bt it's ok cos you've been playing catch up for quite some time.

Wayno you are dead right Liverpool were shite, but we could not beat them. Why is it that our players look and play like they are knackered when the team is changed around all the time to give the players a rest !!Fuck me ,when Frank McLintock raised the cup in 71 he had just played his 76th game of the season. Gael Clichy has played 41 games this season and he looks knackered already !!. Our injury list this season really worries me. Are we just unlucky or are we training them wrong ? When you look at Van Persie,Rosicky and Senderos, they have been injured for half the season !! Just look at our midfield, Fabregas,Flamini,Rosicky,Hleb,Walcott. Spot the link. They are all too small !! We need a minder to look after them and to protect them. There is no doubt that they have skill, but if they keep getting knocked about by the bully boys then we need somebody like an Edu or Vieira to protect them, but until we find somebody then teams will keep on bullying them. The F A are not going to help us so we must sign a top midfielder to act as a minder to these great talents.

The Goner, you are either digging up stats from the past cos you are young, or at very worse relying on the past from what you have seen before. Today, 2008, we play a different game of football. It very much relies on speed and precision. No player in this day and age is ever going to play every game at their optimum performance.

Is Lewis Hamiltion going to win every Grand Prix?

Yet this is where the Modern Day Arsenal excels. 71 Arsenal? 91 Arsenal? 98 Arsenal for that matter would be ripped to shreds by this team. This season they have defined another type of football never reached in England. This is undisputable, ok, we fell away at the end, but I love these guys and fail to understand (except Eboue) how we can knock any of the main players this year. I love them all (except Eboue)

Number 5 means to me that you respect an Arsenal legend and yes i have probably seen a lot more games than you and yes the game has moved on ,but our squad is too small . Our squad is not as strong as our main rivals Chelski and manure. Our squad is probably as skillfull as manures but we lack a rooney and although it sticks in my throat we lack a ronaldo. Sure we have Fabregas, but then what do we have ? Adebayor has died since his haircut, Van Persie is constantly injured, Rosicky will never complete a season because he is too small,Hleb althoough our most skillfull player tires himself out with his constant moaning about how he never got a free kick. He should have been educated by now that the world and his dog are against The Arsenal and he has just got to put up with it.Nothing would plaese me more ,if we were to go to Anfield and whip them but, i honestly do not think we can, looking at the state of our players today.Anfield is a daunting place to go especially on a european night. Almost twenty years ago we were given no chance but the mentality of our team then saw us through. I do not think that our team today has that same mentality. I really hope i am wrong

DUE TO HIS TEAM SELECTION TODAY ARSENE WENGER BETRAYED ALL OF US THAT HAD THE AUDACITY TO HOPE WE MIGHT JUST PULL THE IMPROBABLE OFF AND WIN THE TITLE. :(
IHH, weak man, he couldn't not and possibly hoped not to have won 3 games in 7 days with the limited resources at his disposale could he? It was either go for the league or the CL and as we stand today we're still in both yes?
I Hate Hleb wrote:
THAT WENT OUT OF THE WINDOW TODAY AND THE PERSON TO BLAME IS WENGER FOR PICKING SUCH AN UNDER-STRENGTH SIDE. NO AMOUNT OF COMPLAINING ABOUT TIREDNESS, DODGY DECISIONS AND MISSED OPPOTUNITIES CAN COVER THAT UP
Come on meet him in the middle, there is 100% no way AW could have picked the same team 3 times in a row could he? Today's Liverpool team were fucking awful. Awful. And AW new it would be, that's why he sent out a lesser team, but we should have taken em apart surely? I've never been so embarrased for Kuyt and Crouch to score against my team, have you?
I Hate Hleb wrote:
HECK, WE WERE TRYING TO TAKE OUR LEAD FROM THE MANAGER, WHO MAINTAINED ALL ALONG THAT WE WERE STILL IN IT AND THAT THE TEAM WOULD BE GIVING IT THEIR ALL UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON. YET WHAT DOES HE DO? PLAY OUR 3RD CHOICE RIGHT BACK; OUR RESERVE LEFT BACK (WHO HAS STRUGGLED ALL SEASON) - BOTH OF WHOM ARE JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT THE MOMENT; OUR FORMER DEFENSIVE LYNCH-PIN WHO HAS BEEN OFF THE PACE ALL SEASON AND IS PHYSICALLY PAST IT, AND OUR BEST MIDFIELD PASSER AS THE SECOND FORWARD!! THE FACT THAT HE HAD TO TAKE BOTH FULL-BACKS OFF SAYS IT ALL REALLY.
Not so Hlebby, really, yes the team would and will give their all of course, you were at the game weren't you? Berts played as our best man I thought, did you see something different? The team are spent, not from a lack of trying is it? They've been trying all year, busting guts. As my recent point says, no team can play the same XI 3 games in a row can they? Especially in the space of 9 days surely?

I HAVE NEVER FELT SO DISAPPOINTED BEFORE A MATCH EVEN KICKED OFF, AND IT PROVED TO ME FINALLY THAT EITHER WENGER WAS BEING DISINGENUIOUS ABOUT US STILL TRYING TO WIN THE TITLE, WHEN IN REALITY HE IS THROWING ALL HIS EGGS INTO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BASKET. OR EVEN WORSE, HE ACTUALLY BELIEVES THOSE SELECTIONS WERE THE RIGHT ONES AND GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN THE GAME - IN WHICH CASE, I'D HAVE TO SERIOUSLY START QUESTIONING HIS JUDGEMENT AND HIS SANITY!!
Come on bro, he knew Benitez would do the same. He thought he could get away with weaker full backs as Liverpool do not attack down the flanks do they? He set up with Bert, Flams deep mid and Cesc to sweep up didn't he? Its not his fault it didn't all function perfectly, is it? That was the best tactical choice against a monster like Crouch surely? A man who wins most headers and if not gets a lot knocked down? Hardly gonig to kill us down the width, and where did their goal come? In the middle against our bset two CB's wasn't it?
I Hate Hleb wrote:ARSENE - I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT I LOST JUST A LITTLE BIT OF TRUST IN YOU TODAY, DUE TO YOUR WORDS NOT BEING MATCHED BY YOUR ACTIONS. THE SAD THING IS, IF YOU START LOSING THE TRUST OF THE LIKES OF ME - WHO DESPITE NOT AGREEING WITH ALL YOUR DECISIONS, HAVE TRIED TO BE FULLY SUPPORTIVE - THEN YOU REALLY WILL BE IN TROUBLE SOON!!
Not true Hleb, he played Cesc, Toure, Gallas, Flamini the spine of the side not just this year but in the years to come, he had to make changes and made them as best he could.

Given the choice he could have had RvP, Rosicky, Eduardo rotating for a spot but he didn't so he juggled with what he had.

IHH like to read your opinions and am glad to challange them cos I know you'll come back with reasoned answers with your own thoughts and even if I don't agree they'll be worth reading.

I'm not picking on your comments but feel you are best equipped to answer my questions about The Arsenal

The Goner I'm not sure of it, unless you are older than 27 I'd doubt you've seen more game than me, and if you have, we can always explain a few things to each other, there is no experience in football after all.

If you claim to have supported Arsenal longer than me though explain how we are supposed to keep up with Man U and Chelsea with AW as manager? 100% he will not spend like them so we compete with him as manager thriving with his acumen. Producing Clichy, Fabregas, Toure, to name but 3. Combine their total wealth right now, what are we looking at? excess of £40m talent easily? Give AW £40M and who is he going to sign? None as good as the afore mentionded is it? Just going to further produce extra talent isn't it?

We played five in midfield, but Flamini and Cesc did not support Bendtner as we needed them to.

Mixture if inexperience with that formation, and tiredness.

Eboue does not have enough end product.

Anfield will be different, team will be well up for it.

Think calling Liverpool side awful was harsh, strong defence, a good target man, decent midfield and they played fairly well. We just can't seem to beat them this season and everyone is now betting on 1-1 draw for Tuesday :P

In your Liverpool slums

In your Liverpool slums

You look in the bin for something to eat

You find a dead rat and you think it's a treat
