TRANSFER SPECULATION - WHO ARE WE LINKED WITH?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Savage was "shaken" after an encounter against our Denilson this season, so what do you think? I don't think Savage is that strong anyway. He doesn't have intimidation like Keane did and he doesn't have natural strength like Vieira did. Basically he is like an annoying chav

Anyway, about Cana. I first heard about him from my Albanian friend. Looks like a proper tough guy so wouldn't really mind him. Even if he does get a few red cards, he'd still be a cult hero for that :P Another idea, we could unleash him for exclusive matches, against Bolton, Chelski, Man Utd and other over-the-top-physical-bastards who Hansen loves :x  8)
Shaken? I never knew that!

"Stephane Sessegnon to replace Flamini"

That is the by line on Goonerforum, some other website I noticed.

They had a youtube clip of him, tough tackling guy from Benin, just about 5 foot 7 but not afraid to put the boot in..plays for Le Mans

I still think the Mark Milliagan rumour is the best we've had on the forum. If it comes true remember who told you guys first. If not, you never heard such a ridiculous thing.

No speculation, just a simple recalling him from his loan period

can i just add we never actually buy anyone we are linked with! Wenger keeps it under wraps and then just signs them, which i like!

Id love us to get Kranjcar, think he is class, id like to get Benzema aswell, but i doubt that one is realistic

Be nice to see a commanding centre back arrive, who i dont know

5 years ago Lucio would have been an awsome signing, especially the way he bursts forward, i think now he may be on the way down, he is probably still very good but not what he was and thats not the way Arsenal work is it... Cant see him arriving somehow

Agreed, it could only be a short-term fix (2 years, 3 max), and a 26/27 year old would be better, but I can't think of another established, authoritative CB who might be available. Given Wenger's repeated comments during our Feb-March collapse about our lack of defensive maturity, I can see him breaking habits on this signing.

Lucio might be interesting on a thre eyar deal.

If he plays, then Gallas or Toure alongside him is the player who runs out, whilst Lucio stays.

I have a funny feeling we may get Metzelder from Madrid, Wenger taking a gamble on him even though he is injured.

What are the chances of there being another Toure at the cclub next year?
Perfect replacement for Flamini and Barca apparently(!) in meltdown?
