What about Chamakh's contract extension?

Will Arshavin be returning as captain once his loan is over and RvP has left?

These are the key questions I want answers to

Speaking of people posting absolute bollocks where is RED
Still predicting that we'll win every game comfortably. Given yesterday's results I'm surprised he wasn't here declaring what a 'great weekend' it had been and that if we finish 3rd how it will be continuing this 'golden era' for the club :D

In fairness trying to keep my own head down, i reckon there could be alot of told you so posts on here sunday :)
Yeah but if Spurs finish above us, 99.99% of them will be from Baba and aimed in the direction of a certain someone :D

All well and good but showing a DM making great passes or having good shots is not what I want to see - is he strong in the tackle ? What is he like in the air ? What is his mobility and speed like ? How positionally aware is he ? These are all traits that we have lacked in our current DM (and obviously I use that phrase loosely when it comes to song  )

On a side question do ye believe that song might be on his way out if we signed this guy ? This is not a thought that I like but is it possible that wenger plans on song playing alongside this guy ? That would only leave 1 spot open in our midfield when in reality arteta and wilshire should be the automatic choices for there
He's quick and tenacious, very strong and precise in the tackle and never gives up (his sliding tackles in particular are a joy to watch). Tracks runners and covers gaps extremely well too. His discipline is astonishing for a 21 year old and he was captaining Rennes today against Montpellier and dominated the midfield. He's powerful and reads the game like a book. He makes Song look like an amateur. In addition to all that he's cultured on the ball and can spot a good pass. I know you love De Jong but M'Vila is twice the player. He's the real deal. If we sign him we'd have done incredibly well as he's a Barcelona/Real Madrid type of talent.

I think we should rest Van Persie for this one and start with Park. I'm worried that he'll be upset by the lack of first team action this season and if he leaves it could spark an exodus of all the 'super quality' like Vela and Squillaci.

John Cross is an absolute prick of a man. A no-mark journalist. He picks things up off twitter. He has no credibility what-so-ever. Anyone see his outrageous reporting of Schweinsteiger supposedly mocking Hodgson. Honigstein tore him to pieces on twitter.

Prick.

No, I don't like lazy journalism based on 2nd hand info. He licks the arse of the Club too much too.

Correction there buddy....song makes song look like an amateur so no need for comparisons there

You are right that I am a fan of de Jong but that is purely cos I feel that our team lacks leaders plus we need a guy capable of being a nasty b*****d when the occasion arises and de Jong fits the bill perfectly. However if there is another guy that is available and ticks all the right boxes then I am happy to go with that too. One thing I will say with absolute certainty is that we will never be winners again as long as song is first choice in one of the most important positions in any team - for me song just reeks of average and above any other player ( yes that includes diary & walnut) he typifies what is wrong with our current set up

not to piss on anyone's chips, but we could buy the best of the best defenders and a good DM, but if the CIC doesn't understand the importance of defence, they will all look like :censored: .
Please Arsene, get in a good defensive coach.

Imagine M'Vila and Arteta in deep midfield, with Wilshere in front?

If all three are out, then Vertonghen and Coquelin in deep midfield, with Rosicky in front?

That is what we should be aiming for.

I always respect your opinion Quartz, but do you think Wilshere is such a good "creator"? I love the guy but feel he is more a box to box hard worker.

I would love it if we bought Vertonghen too, but don't you think maybe we are buying too many defensive players, but don't know how to coach them?

I agree. Wilshere was played deep. He is an Arteta type without the goals. I think the guy will be lucky to play again next season anyway.
