WALCOTT - which position is best etc?

walcott leaving us to chase success? imagine susan boyle splitting up with pierce brosnan.

I'd accuse him of having a self inflated ego but it's not true, he's been so overhyped some actual supporters (real people , not just red) rate him as world class

he is an England regular and will probably help City win the title this season

or would you rather watch Gervinho ?

Just because Gervinho is shit that doesn't justify Theo. We should be looking to do better then both and we certainly should not be held to ransom over 100k a week.

LDB - get real. If you want better than Walcott then you will have to pay at least as much as Walcott wants.

Arsenal won't pay so won't get anyone better. This is why the exodus of all the best players is happening.

and if Theo goes in addition to Song and RVP what does this say about Arsenal as a club?
Say what you want about these players but I can't see any half decent player wanting to come to us now.

Wilshere will get fit and then leave next year, it is obvious now, the same with the OX when he gets older. As for Cazorla he must be wondering what the hell is going on.

He's been here 6 seasons and we haven't won anything in that time, so he's partly responsible, SO on your bike son, we'll try something different?! Give us the money....anyway he can't beat an egg :) as you all know!!

Want to keep Theo but if anyone would have swapped for Andy Johnson and little bit of cash.

But if Walcott is going there then we should consider De Jong as part of the deal even though he is a thug.
Yes johnson is going to be very good...and yup De Jong = a thug, but would come in very handy! :box: :box:
If you all you want is a thug, we have Frimpong. ;)

Sure, they'll deserve it because they'll be better then walcott.

Nice argument

Dempsey and Dembele would be good though not sure Fulham would sell both?

If Theo does go then we really should buy in a striker and midfielder because I would rather have Podolski and Oxlade-Chamberlain as regular wide men then Gervinho who so far looks like a bench player; that said I will not write off Gervinho yet.

LDB - are you really quite as stupid as some of your posts make out?

Arsenal do not buy anyone any better than they sell anymore - do you not get that? :banghead:

and as for the argument about Arsenal not winning anything with Theo - well at least he got us to cup finals and competing for the title - with the current bunch we are nowhere near that.

We'll be going some to do worse then wally.

Why I'm bothering with you I haven't a clue but what do you find so hard to understand about wanting to flog an extremely limited and inconsistent player who's entering the final year of his contract and trying to hold the club over a barrel to become its highest paid player?

I'd love to see the back of Theo, seeing 2 of my most disliked players leave in a week is a bonus. There has to be replacements lined up as I fear Stan is looking at profit. Theo is shit, 1 good game followed by 3 piss poor ones. He's media savvy and they think he's good but he really isn't.

Does any other team in the Premier League cause their fans as much grief as Arsenal?

How can we go from the excitement of the Cazorla signing to this in a couple of weeks?

I've still got faith in Wenger, but something is starting to feel very rotten with our club at the moment

I think most people on here are a bit unfair. Walcott isn't world class, that's obvious. But he is a good player if the team decides to actually use his main abilities. I'd rate him as one of your better players.

But btw he isn't gone yet is he?
