Spuds game

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thought Giroud played well and Walcott deserved his goal, enjoy the moment
Thank you N5, it's good to see that someone can read between the lines. I did say earlier that I was delighted to beat those fuckers, but anyone ignoring some glaring errors of management, poor performances before the sending off and sloppy attitude when 4-1 up are only deluding themselves. There is a long way still to go this season and a 5-2 win against the scum whilst pleasing, it doesn't necessarily mean we will finish above them.
There are some on here beginning to sound like fucking totts by regarding victory over those fuckers as "season making"

I think Gooners are just hoping both us and 5per2 react like we did last year
if we can go on a long streak of wins, and they collapse, then it really will have been a huge game in the context of the season

The Vital differences between last seasons 5 -2 win over the scum and this seasons is that...last season we were not playing well and beating the scum turned our season around and had the opposite affect on theirs, however it was the Manner in which we beat them last year - we played really well and after their initial 2 goals...one of which was a deflection and the other from a penalty that never should have been given because Monkey *word censored* boy dived....they hardly troubled us because we defended really well and took the game by the scruff of the neck....This season - we played well, BUT considering they were down to 10 men - they still looked like they could cause trouble, even come back and beat us - because we were not playing as we could and should have in the circumstances of 11 v 10. Had we totally annihilated them say 7 0r 8 - 1 which is what should have happened, then I think I would feel far happier and confident aboput where our season might go....as Sid said some of this is papering over the cracks....and much of that is to do with the inepteness of Wenger.
He brought on Ramsey - who was truly awful...and he brought on Santos - who is and always will be suspect. He could ahve brought on the Ox sooner (instead of ramseywank) and Cocquelin instead of santos the shirtswapper.

It Could and should have been a total mauling - but again Wenger blew it...same old same old I know, but until he goes and we can get shot of shyte like Ramsey and Santos (plus quite a few n more) things will continue in a similar vein...

For you young uns this will be a question in a pub quiz in about 20 years time. (I'll probably be in the great Highbury in the sky.)

"What calendar year did Arsenal beat Tottenham 5-2 twice at the Emirates stadium?" 8)

Of course it papered over the cracks but was immensely enjoyable all the same. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Well worth the price of admission, the fuel, the food from the chippy and the drinks in the Rocket afterwards. :barscarf: was great to be there, atmosphere fantastic, didn't think anyone in the North Bank sat down all game.

Anybody else feel concerned about calling bale "monkey man" on saturday ? Given the current climate and the behaviour of the chav fan towards wellbeck recently I can help but be worried that some fan around me will think that I am racially abusing some player or another

I know Podolski has scored in 2 games running now but he's only got 4 league goals in total I believe, so isnt it pushing it a bit to persist with singing ''Lukas Poldolski, he scores when he wants'' ?

Its a bit of a nonsense chant for anyone really but surely only prolific scorers can have this as a song.

I even thought it was a bit silly for vanStaplecunt let alone PrincePoldi
pretty sure he 'wanted' to score than sitter for a 4th V AC Milan,
once that chance was gone, so was he

Maybe he doesnt want to score anymore than that ? :rubchin:

Anyway if we are talking about goalscoring stats did you know that he has scored one more league goal this season than our "top scorer" (walnut) who has actually only scored 3 in the league ?

Like I said on the other thread you posted this Augie, Theo's 3 league goals and 4 assists have come from 400 mins on the pitch. That's 3 goals and 4 goals created in about 4 and a half games playing time. This is a fantastic return wouldn't you agree?? :?

Feo's on excellent form
his stats don't always tell the whole truth - seen him (and Arshavin) on tragic form post some decent goal/assist stats
