liverpool or everton would have tonked them.
Both have a better manager than ours.
This is quite funny really cos I bet you any amount of money that if you go back through the archives then most on here would have said that rodgers was shit and martinez was average
Always been in both corners tactic wise. Both have a plan B unlike our git. I have never felt Martinez could/would command the respect of big players though.

Are you deliberately taking the piss this evening ?? We beat the victims because slaphead webb failed to give the cannibal one of the most obvious penalties of the season. We beat the victims cos arsole wenker decided to rest his perceived 1st choice players and instead played some of the 2nd string who actually bring more pace, energy and hunger to the team than those that wenker continually picks  Most importantly we beat a victims team that is inferior to us in every single department except up front - beating those c*nts shouldn't be hailed as a stroke of genius because we are a better team and should be beating them so instead of focusing on that victory, perhaps you should ask yourself how a team with less financial resources than us, can blow us away in victimland a few weeks ago and how they have currently swung a 12 point shortage on us last season, into a 12 point advantage this season :rubchin:

I avoided this place like the plague before, during and after the game and kept myself busy right until kick-off as I wanted to think about it as little as possible. Could post thousands of words on it but will cut it down (a bit).

Firstly nobody would have been surprised if at kick-off you'd have said that Sanogo would waste our best chances and that Monreal would have a decisive part in gifting them a goal. He has regressed to a level barely above Andre Santos. Every time they got in the area we looked capable of giving away a penalty.

We were predictably clueless on how to create chances. Don't know what the general reaction to his performance has been but massive credit to Chamberlain for me because from minute 1 to minute 120 he tried to inject some tempo and force the play, even though he was fucked in extra time. Also got a real affinity towards Sagna and Mertesacker as despite their faults they were both desperate to force the equaliser and I think their reaction afterwards said it all. Two players you would go into battle with.

It was utter desperation from Wenger and I can't remember the last time we went 2 up front for a substantial period of time. For all our supposed superiority we created more (including the goal) from 5 minutes of lumping the ball into the box with two big strikers than we did in the other 115 minutes. We should have continued to do that after getting back to 1-1 as Wigan simply couldn't cope and hadn't planned for it but unfortunately we were too proud and went back to our insipid play.

Anyway the bottom line is I ultimately do not give a fuck how shit we are. It's a brighter spotlight on Wenger and most importantly we're through to the final, where I think we will actually do better against Hull than we would against an organised side like Wigan. Would fucking love to win it :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: WHAT DID SHE WEAR???

Just back from Wembley, shocking performance but we won! Massive turnout, great support - Wenger and some of the prima donnas don't deserve it.

Just got in. That first 80 minutes I thought I had died and gone to hell, condemned to watching some of the most shite football on the planet, while putting up with 2 drunken gobshites who didn't know who half the team were while whinging about the lack of support.

That was immediately followed by 50 minutes of heart attack territory. Not good for a man of my age.

Still we're in the final, and it was very clear where I was and on the train on the way home that the mood has turned very much against Wenker. 8)

Not long back, enjoyed the day despite the dreadful performance. Interesting to see the huge amount of criticism of Sanogo, but not an utterance against Podolski, who was fucking awful, challenging Monreal for worst player on the pitch, the number of times he pulled out of challenges was disgraceful, absolutely the right decision to take him off.

As a podolski fan I would have to say that I too didn't think that he played well today. What annoyed me about him most was that he seemed to make wrong choice after wrong choice and for a player of his experience that isn't really acceptable. What I will also say, and I absolutely blame le cock for this, is that he kept coming short to get the ball in midfield - it is just another example of how a players natural instincts are coached out of him by the tippy tappy bullshit wenker ingrains into them

That being said, taking him off was a woeful woeful decision for two reasons - (1) wakemeup was absolute dogshite today and by far our worst player. I'm not gonna have a go at the kid cos he is being thrown in out of his depth but the reality is that he simply isn't good enough. (2) we have a natural goalscoring striker that we have fcuked about by playing him on the wing for two years as le cocks brainless and gutless 1 up system continues to fail. On the verge of another embarrassing defeat to a lower league side, le cock finally goes two up front and instead of pushing his most natural goalscorer (wenkers words) into his rightful position he decides to leave wakemeup alongside giroud  Even leaving aside the fact that bambi has yet to score a goal for the club, it makes no sense playing two similar style players together and le cock still doesn't realise that partnerships that work the best are when each of them brings something to the table that the other doesn't :x

Same here never been so drained after a match as that in years!

I literally had to find a spare seat to sit down for a few seconds after the 90minutes, not for a rest but coz my head was about to explode from what I had witnessed. I just could not believe what I had just seen. As has already been said the only positive was the ox, always trying to create.

The fans overall were brilliant and put far more effort and passion in then any of the players.

Said about fifty prayers for every pen.

So glad to be in the final......But.....

Play like that rest of the season, we will come nowhere near top 4, and we'll get beaten in the final.

Annual meltdown overload :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

It taken me this long to gather my thoughts after that match. I went nuts when Cazorla scored the winning penalty, but now I've calmed down, I can see how truly shocking that was. The players showed fuck all about them today, and only for the fact that Wigan became overly defensive in the last 20 minutes of normal time, we would have been gone. Wenger again embarrassed himself, by taking off Podolski instead of Sanogo, and again was absolutely clueless tactically, still though 90 minutes to go, and the trophy drought will be over, and I will put up with more of the shite I seen today, if that is the final outcome, COYG.

We only started to play when Gibbs came on & they scored. Watched it up to the second penalty then my recording stopped. Still wasn't confident when I finally got the result on the sport results. Looks like we didn't miss & they did twice - I'll take that. If I can get a ticket for the final I'm booking a flight from Aus pronto !!. Lets hope we have a better squad to pick from by then :barscarf: :barscarf:

I couldn't be arsed to stay up until 12.07 am for this one as I had a gut feeling that we would lose it, or at best win it with a lucky goal and an abject display.

Cheers NB23 for your match comments, informative and succinct as per usual. It saves me reading thirty odd pages on here, and I suspect there was a lot of anger in other posters comments.

Now let's have a win double please.

FA cup final win and WENGER OUT, come what May.

WENGER OUT

he's being played out of position. so its not a surprise that he often makes the wrong decision.

same as Vermaelen, one of Europes best man markers and defenders, asked to play zonal defence....

same as cazorla, instead of playing behind the #10, he's played out wide and asked to track back.

vertonghen - one of Europes best central defenders didn't sign for us cos wenger wanted him as left back.

when wenger buys talent he often seems to dismiss their talent and experience.

that team were 100% Wenger today. total shite.

and no Gnabry on the bench again :banghead:
