Last season I defended this guy to the hilt and I still maintain it was when he came into the side at the expense of Nketiah and Jesus that we went on that great run. He held the ball up well and brought all our other attacking players into the game which helped them flourish
This season he has been mostly awful and not doing any of that. He's also diving at the least appropriate times and the penalty he got against United was as bad as the dive the Granny Shagger took up there 20 odd years ago to destroy our gorgeous 49ers unbeaten run
What I would say is that nearly all our attacking players have become awful together. Martinelli flatters to deceive, Trossard has been dog shit for months, and our captain has been anonymous. All 4 of them are pretty much guaranteed starting positions when Saka is out and barring injury or illness to them, so they've been allowed to stink the place out without consequence
