McDowell its over dude...no more - Hallelujah

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Would anyone else take a cheeky punt with Michael Dawson? The heathens are selling for around the 9mil mark.
I'd rather die of syphilis.

I heard an interview the other day in which they said Sahin doesnt have the hunger and workrate for a Mourinho team so he wants to send him to England for a year to toughen him up before resuming again next season in Madrid. Now i dont know how you put it but thats development to me
And what better place to develop, improve workrate and foster hunger, than at trophy hungry Arsenal.

It will toughen him up at least and after spending a season with the 'average generation' might even make him count his lucky stars he's with Madrid
Not quite. He's a surplus to the requirements at madrid. He's not going to dislodge Alonso or Lass. He's a different sort of player than songino.

I think we need to get over the fact that Madrid are willing to let him go. Madrid always do what Citeh have done – overload their playing staff to cover every eventuality – something that FFP is due to try and stop. But it can mean that some highly talented players simply don’t get a game another example of that is kaka.

I'd rather have Les Dawson!!! Michael Dawson is so far over rated that even AKB has found him out!

The problem for me with the loan thing is its what little clubs do from big clubs. Now i know historically Madrid are bigger than us but it sticks in my throat a bit that we are developing their players for their own use in years to come :? Ive come to think of us as a big club but obviously not

Personally id only loan with a right to buy at the end
   Look flash we don't wish to know the intimate details of what you and Baba get up to in the bogs outside the Grove thank-you very much!.

Mourinho speaking to O Jogo, reported on French channel Sport+:

' Mourinho feels a spell in England will help to develop the 23-year-old's game, but he is refusing to be drawn into a debate as to where Sahin may end up.

"It can teach him particular characteristics of play that he doesn't have at the moment," said the Portuguese tactician.

"I couldn't care less if he goes to Arsenal, or Liverpool or Tottenham. I have no preference because with all the respect in the world to these very good teams, none of them will be threatening us in the Champions League"

ZING. Ouch.

Being a Gooner Bab's wouldn't you like to see him be made to eat his words.....never mind whether it would/could ever happen, but as a Gooner surely you'd like to see Arsenal/Wenger take those words and shove them up his arris!?

He's not a Arsenal fan.
I thought this was the general consensus towards the end of last season.
