Anybody else feel that £10m for rodwell to the mackems is a bit excessive ? I know that he is a young player with potential but his career has stalled for the past 2 seasons plus he has a dodgy injury record
For fun I flicked through the sky sports transfer rumours section earlier - I thought that it had reached a bizarre low point when someone suggested that falcao was joining the victims, but then it sunk to new depths when someone else said that we are chasing him Does no fcuker at sky scan these bullshit comments before allowing them up on the website ? McD bullshit rumours would seem sane in comparison
Here's a few names we've been linked with recently. Feel free to add any you've read about and let's hope we can tempt Mr Wenger into purchasing one of them.....
William Carvalho
Sami Khedira
Daniel Agger
Geoffrey Kondogbia
Paul Pogba

its excessive yes, very, but given that they tried to spunk 14m on the crock of shite borini and likely will resurrect it, its not surprising. baffling wastes of money, cant see poyet lasting long, relegation beckons unless there are somehow 3 worse sides.

Mikel has been a good servant for us in his 3yrs here and unlike our last 3 world class captains he actually led us to silverware(sorry TV you were just a ceremonial head Mikel and BFG were the real captains last year). But he is getting older and slower, swapping him for a 22yr old especially if Bilbao will pay us and give him a longer contract at his age. That sounds like good business.
Monreal I want gone so badly,I'd let him leave on a free but we need a LB and I don't know of any that are decent and available. We could promote from within but Ormonde-Ottewill and the young Greek kid we just bought are too inexperienced, especially with Gibbs injury record.
Wonder if we'd consider using Miquel there. He's left footed and would probably be alright defensively if not great going forward...not sure what his crossings like. He looks like he can now handle the physical side of English game and he's not a bad header of the ball. I think he's worth a punt, in the absence of a good experienced alternative.
I have a lot of time and respect for Arteta. Although he's clearly not good enough for us anymore, the bloke has given his all, didn't shy from physical play despite not being that type of player and he put his head in where it hurts, unlike Monreal who visibly pulls out of challenges which is especially unforgivable for a defender.
Wouldn't shed a tear if both went.
Yep - Arteta has been a great servant for us, in that dreadful 2011/12 season things would have been far worse without his dependable presence and assured performances. He struggled last year and it seems pretty clear to me he has no future at the club even this season but I will always hold him in very high esteem. Wonder how he would have done if we would have signed him a few years earlier.
On the other hand Monreal has consistently put in shit performances and looks scared of his own shadow. Exactly the sort of player you don't want in your squad.

Agree.
He was the glue that held the team together in his first 18 months with us, but since then has experienced injury and a significant decline in performance.
To the point I now think he is detrimental to the way we play.
Reina to bayern seems a bit bizarre to me I would have thought the the slaphead c*nt would have a much better chance of displacing the vastly over-rated mignolet than he would have of becoming 1st choice at bayern Either money is his motivation or he has fcuked up royally behind the scenes and nobody there wants to keep him
