London Riots

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Scum bags and an embarrassment to this country. Irish police dealt with it in exactly the right way. Well done to them. Shameful to have to watch it again though.

Can't access youtube in work anymore. Is that the Landsdowne riot Barry - when the Oirish riot squad went in?

My mate Rodders (not the funny one from this forum) was in that squad and can be seen on the video busting heads with abandon. Lucky fucker. Then he got promoted to detective and then became a scene of crime officer. The stories he told about the things he saw on SOCO...

Now the fat bastard has transfered to the Aussie Police in Perth and works their cold case files. Loves his job, his lifestyle and reckons he'll never come back. Fat bastard still though...

You actually stumble upon a very relevant point by the way- look at the footage of the rioters facing the police and you see that, by and large, the police dont smack the fuckers. I dont know about you but I've been in away crowds where the police have laid into people who are guilty of nothing more than being in a crowd of people, some of whom are misbehaving. It makes you wonder, if it was Millwall fans walking back from a game who decided to go smashing places up, would the police have been as tolerant with them, or would they have waded straight in, smacked the fans about and gone home safe in the knowledge that "its only football fans" so no one will complain? I think I know the answer.

Why loot it when you get it for free? Is it the thrill of the chase?

Ethnic background has no relevance whatsoever to national service. If you live in this country, you can do national service for this country. Not necessarily serving in the armed forces, but other forms of national service for example voluntary work in the UK.
