Stats don't show the whole picture but they are significant. For years many judged the growing sixteen year old as having no end product; running down blind alleys. He is now showing end product. Somebody pass him a pen before Ramsey and B52 play wide right next year.

I know Podolski has scored in 2 games running now but he's only got 4 league goals in total I believe, so isnt it pushing it a bit to persist with singing ''Lukas Poldolski, he scores when he wants'' ?

Its a bit of a nonsense chant for anyone really but surely only prolific scorers can have this as a song.

we all know if Wenker saw sense and actually played podolski centre forward then he'd be lethal,i reckon almost right up there with rvp,when the balls on that left foot it usually ends in a goal.

Agree with this. I think it was a knee jerk reaction as he scored soon after we'd lost RVP.

I think 'Vorsprung durch Technik' scans to the same tune and would be handy as we (after saturday) have two germans on the scoresheet and, of course, a couple of promising younger ones knocking at the door.

Indeed. From the little I have seen of him and bits I have read, he is potentially something special although 'potentially something specials' can end up being sold to some russian club some years down the line.

Here's hoping he keeps up with what he's doing and carries it through...

The pic seems to me that many are looking toward where he was rather than where he is.. where he was, oif course, was Cazorla still lying on the ground and many of those in the pic may have been more concerned about him than the turdbucket walking off? no?

How is it selective? So most of the ground were going nuts... except for that exact section of the ground? It doesn't matter what way you cut it, our crowd are far too placid for their own good, I thought he should have got even more stick than he did, I thought he got off far too lightly but that's just par for the course with our home crowd, who would rather clap and applaud contract rebels, crocks, useless *word censored* like Eboue and lazy *word censored* like Adebayor when in his last year at our club, apparently I've heard the crowd gave him stick then he may have got a little stick but it was nowhere as bad as it should have been, our crowd need to get far more nasty and make it a more intimidating atmosphere.
