General consensus seems to be approx. £50m :banghead: We've not even spent all the Nasri money.
Out:

Clichy 7M
JET 1M
Eboue 3M
Cesc 25M
Nasri 23M
Traore 2M
Sunu - Free?
Denilson, J Campbell, Lansbury off wage bill.

In:

Jenkinson 1M
Gervinho 10.5M
Oxlade Chamberlain 8M up front rising to 15M
Campbell 2M
Park 4M
Santos 6M
Mertesacker 10M
(Benayoun 1M?)

Profit: 18.5M

Plus we had a nice £30 - 35M sitting in the bank waiting to be spent before the summer, plus another £22M as safety payment for stadium bond..

Something is not right.
Cheers Quartzy.... you're right there, it's ridiculous... :banghead:
you missed off Vela he's on loan as well, funny thing is the fans said Wenger need to bring in at least 6 or 7 players and he has, but apart from maybe 2 the rest of average or shit
He has indeed. But as you say, they're pretty much shit and in no way is our first XI better than last year. Nowhere near.

Sorry about Vela, he was such an inconspicuous lurker that I forgot he was even on the books!
Plus we should now add Miyaichi to the wages.

Agree with you all.
Team looks weaker than this time last year.

Arteta would have been a massive boost as he is the quality we need. Nothing else matters now we are a club moving one way. Down the table. No escape this season.

Arteta deal Back on. He wanted a 5 year contract. We were offering 4. We have agreed on an option for the 5th year, subject to appearances made in 4th year of contract.

From a mate of my sister's, who works at London Colney. :shock

Wenger has actually lost the plot. Nasri told him in June he wanted to leave and would not sign a new contract. Cesc leaving has been on the cards for ages yet he has still not made a major signings, nor spent any of his original £50m budget and made a profit in the transfer window again.

Apparently he pulled out of the M'Vila deal as Rennes wanted to much money, we need the players and everybody knows have alot available so they will want more, just pay the money! If you want to sign clubs best players on the final day of the window you are going to have to pay a premium on top of the normal fee!

All of this should have been sorted by the end of July, not August 31st.

If you look at the things that Nasri has said i think you'd place the blame at the Board's door rather than Wenger:

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11670_7138491,00.html
"But it is not Arsene Wenger, it is the club's politics, the officials.

"Arsenal doesn't have the same funds. They can't make the same coups as before in the transfer market. They are rather forced to sell their best players and bet on young ones."

Nasri was asked about why did not extend his contract at Arsenal last year, but explained: "Why didn't I extend at Arsenal last autumn? They made me an offer and my advisers made another one.

"In this last one there was a clause that Arsenal officials didn't really accept.

"Then, it lasted. When they came back to offer me again in June, I made my decision. In my mind I wanted to leave, above all after the very difficult end to last season and I also already had nice contacts.

"At first Arsene Wenger wanted to keep me. Then, both clubs needed time to agree a transfer fee.
