Anybody else worried about this?gonnernico04 wrote:How long does it take to process paper work for Mertesacker
I think we might have to close the forum down if we fuck up this move cos of paperwork!

Plus the fact that we're happy to shell out £15m for an unproven kid from League OneWengerball wrote:I want to know (and maybe somebody can answer this) how we are happy to pay £10m as our maximum offer, which is in itself ridiculous, but we conveniently ignored the fact that Pjanic from Lyon has gone for 11m Euros to Athletico Madrid.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME I'D LOVE TO KNOW????????

Get in. Gan on Quinny/ Bruce, make this fucking happen please. Linked with fucking Peter Crouch earlier, if we end up with Bendtner I'll be delighted. Only thing is I'd rather we signed him (we were quoted £10m for 30 year old Crouch, pay similar for Bendtner who is younger and better and it'd be a cracking deal). If all we can get is a loan with no option to buy then its a shame but its still better than getting landed with Crouch and paying £10m for the "privilege"worthing_gooner wrote:Dunno about option to buy but Graeme Bailey at Sky Sports is reporting it now too.safcftm wrote:Please be true (with an option to buy at the end of loan). Not trying to be a prick but we didn't spend £15M on that kid. We probably paid WELL less than 10M up front. The rest will be add-ons related to him playing x amount of games/playing for England etc.Dan_85 wrote:Plus the fact that we're happy to shell out £15m for an unproven kid from League OneWengerball wrote:I want to know (and maybe somebody can answer this) how we are happy to pay £10m as our maximum offer, which is in itself ridiculous, but we conveniently ignored the fact that Pjanic from Lyon has gone for 11m Euros to Athletico Madrid.

If you look at the things that Nasri has said i think you'd place the blame at the Board's door rather than Wenger:

"But it is not Arsene Wenger, it is the club's politics, the officials.
"Arsenal doesn't have the same funds. They can't make the same coups as before in the transfer market. They are rather forced to sell their best players and bet on young ones."
Nasri was asked about why did not extend his contract at Arsenal last year, but explained: "Why didn't I extend at Arsenal last autumn? They made me an offer and my advisers made another one.
"In this last one there was a clause that Arsenal officials didn't really accept.
"Then, it lasted. When they came back to offer me again in June, I made my decision. In my mind I wanted to leave, above all after the very difficult end to last season and I also already had nice contacts.
"At first Arsene Wenger wanted to keep me. Then, both clubs needed time to agree a transfer fee.
