The way to get their attention

Trust me we will do something. I will do this alone if need be.
The group setting this up are real gooners that know other real gooners. We will have the contacts and the support of other like minded fans.
This isn’t set up by keyboard warriors but by real fans that invest heavily in the club both financially and by effort of going week in week out.
Not saying it makes us better fans but it does give certainty that we will put our all into this and that it isn’t just talk[/quote]
I'm not holding my breath on this one but if your for real it will for sure beat the hot air and angst and wringing of hands that permeate this board..
Bleating on face book is a farce tarquin of highgate !

Herd.............Your post wasn't aimed at me but what i would say is, if you think the same, then support it properly instead of posting snidey e-mails, cos that makes you as bad as those you speak against.
I don't know you or you me but i'm no tarquin, (far from it) am old school and like you want the best for our club but we must do something surely.................

We will only using Facebook and Twitter as platforms to get us heard. As Mikey said there are real gooners interested in this and will do a lot to make it work.

HERD - It wont be hot air. I have been fed up A long time. Its about us all coming together now and if you’re the kind of person that feels strongly about it then lets fucking do something.
You seem to have big opinions on the matter Herd so rather than be sceptical help the cause.
By attracting the media is a big step and this has to be the first goal. If it means holding up a banner at a televised game before the game so be it. I am quite confident a certain amount of “not noticing right awayâ€

i wish things would change but its not going too as long as wenger rules the club. ffs the man picked his own boss for CEO,
as long as the board are happy with the money coming in and we finish top 4 then nothing will change,
my ow opinion is wenger shou;d go at the end of the season and a new man come in to take us up a level.

once they have our money we become nothing else to them.
Maybe they wont listen
But as long as they know , I will feel it’s the first step.
Also you don’t know how many people this will attract. We could end up in a huge majority once the media gets hold of it. It might turn other fans that have remained on the fence with the situation.

This is a top post and it aligns with my thoughts.n6gooner wrote:excellent post - i propose augie for the 5-man committee, if he's willing. anyone agree?augie wrote:A few points I would like to raise and clarify -
1. I do not want to take on the board at this point of time. What I do want though is a strongly worded message to say that we the fans will no longer tolerate this practise of non investment of proven quality players (I believe the word proven is crucial here) and the continued use/tolerance of sub standard players remaining at the club at premium wages.
2. Call me paranoid but I cant help feeling, whilst reading the different posts on this thread, that one or two of the members posting are on a wind up or not genuine. Granted this issue, if it gains support and momentum, will be brought into the public domain but we do not need this issue going public until we are ready.
3. I agree 100% that what we currently diluted this protest into will not make the slightest dent in the workings and methods currently in place at the club. You want to rattle some cages then be prepared to do what is necessary to be seen to be firm in your beliefs - protest outside the ground, protest inside the ground, turning your backs to the pitch for 5-10 minutes during the game, face the directors box during a game for 10 minutes chanting about what we feel this club needs (aimed directly at the policy makers as opposed to the players), turn up en masse 10 minutes after the start of the match or late 10 minutes before the end or a sit in at the end of a game. These, in my opinion, show a willingness to do more than just talk plus they will get the protest a more public profile thus more media exposure that might slightly put more pressure on wenger and the board.
As I said already I will support this group in its plans be that in person and/or financially (if a paypal account is set up) cos something needs to change. I firmly believe that there are thousands of like minded fans out there in full agreement with most of what is being said and just waiting for such a plan of action that they can row in behind. Be prepared for a battle with wenger and the board cos lets face it we are questioning each and everyone of them but if we remain strong,be properly organised and stick to our main objectives then we can at least succeed in raising these issues which may in turn alter the club policies and even if it is a slight change initially then at least it would be a move in the right direction
HERD
Gotta disagree with you about online promotion.
Facebook and Twitter are vital to publicise things, they allow you to reach out to huge numbers of people.
And huge numbers of our fans have NEVER been to a game, NEVER even been to London.
The days when most fans lived within five miles of the ground and drank in known pubs are long gone.

If that was directed at me mate, I assure you I'm definitely not a tarquin and am a proper gooner with legitamite concerns with the club! If you scroll through my post history, I was arguably one of the most positive gooners on here but now I, like a lot of others, am feeling short-changed and frustrated at the state of affairs at Arsenal!
I think LDB is right that this movement cannot be pushed in earnest as long as we are contention to win the League. We should get behind the team and hope it pulls this off even if we we believe unlikely or impossible(that will only make it all more delightful if we do achieve it).
If we win the League than we can re-assess what role this movement should have and what its goals should be and proceed from there as we feel best for the club and our goals for it, as whatever happens this season these issues may still be of concern going forward so we should be positioned to advocate our views either way once the matter of the pursuit of Winning the Premiership is resolved.
I think LDB and others are wrong though - I hope so anyway - in stressing that this is anti-Wenger movement. I say that not in defence of mr. Wenger but out of concern that if that is this is or becomes than it is very well likely we will end up settling for far less than we want and need for Arsenal, which is changes in the financial policies that improve the quality of the football team, no matter who is responsible for the failed policies now.
It is irrelevent no matter who any of us believe is to blame if either the Manager is sacked or Board members were to resign or be pushed out now if either scenario is not accompanied by real changes in the policies set off the pitch we believe have let us down on it. Change for change's sake cannot be our goal or we are doomed from the start, and that applies even if like me you feel the Board largely responsible for these policies.
That is absolutely essential to understand now if we mean to actually advocate acheivable goals here.

By my calculations we will be completely out of the title race by the 20th of April after Spurs away.
It could easily be early with dropped points to either Liverpool, WBA, or Blackpool.
At the very latest 24th of April after Bolton away.
Once that day hits, everything should be ramped up the next level.
Until then a protest would be unadvisable in my own opinion. But I've no doubt when we fall down to around 4th place, alot of people will be even more angry.
Then is prime time to strike.
