Manure Away match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I am not angry at all simply because it was on the cards and as Chippy says I do think this is the end of Wenger!

I went when we lost 6-1 there and I was distraught but I am fine about today as it could be the biggest positive we have had in a long time.

hardly, hes a luxury player. A player that would have been outstanding in the teams of henry, pires etc. unfortunately even though we are suposedly a top 4 club we cant afford to have luxury players anymore.

*word censored* Wenger left that interview pretty sharpish. Think he was pissed about the quitting questions.

Was going to delete your posts for obvious reasons, but I chose to leave them there because I want people to see them. I doubt you two are even racist - these posts are just your pathetic attempts at humour. What morons like you don't understand though is that, not only do these posts offend people, they put this forum at risk of being taken offline.

So, if you can't express your anger at Arsenal without resorting to childish, pseudo-racist keyboard warrior tactics, I will be requesting that both of you be banned.
oh so people can call Korean's dog eaters and it's fine.
There is a difference between banter and racial hate.

I could have predicted that response word for word. Look, the reason I didn't try to reason with you is because you're the kind of person who does not take responsibility for what they say. You're like a child. What is the point of trying to reason with someone who thinks that racial slurs "rag head" are in any way comparable with quips about types of food are deemed acceptable to eat in another country.

I'm not surprised to get this response from you though. You will always blame it on someone else, won't you? That's fine. But I stand by what I said in my first post. You can do with that what you like.

poor f**ker did a brilliant job up until cl final in '06 and then he bought into the media hype about his supposed mercurial talents. the writing was on the wall when we stole the fa cup from the mancs in '05 and we've been on the (gradual) slide ever since.....

Mate I fucking wish.

I believe it is going to be a long long season with many other ridiculous defeats.

This one I don't consider an embarrasement because, well because. It was there to see before kick off.

But the defeats we will be suffering against the weaker teams in the league are going to be really hard to take because really that is our competition this year.

For once I agree. We will lurch from disaster to disaster, finish 10th and Wenger will then walk away to PSG citing the doping of football and the short termism of the press as excuses. Years in the doldruns will follow.

i have to agree with Merse that AW have got this weak team trying to play in the same way as our strongest ever team.

A league 2 side would not get humiliated in this way because they would limit the damage, not expect to go out and score more than the Mancs.

I'm not blaming it on anyone else, I said what I said and know I said it. I made an observation that he had a rag wrapped around his head and described my emotion that i felt and it could of been a ginger, black, white, fat, skinny or purple person and I knew when I posted it it would proberly get a reaction from someone like Quartz who is always quick to pick up anything that is considered racist and likes to be a warrior against this stuff on the internet like when he was defending the london riots. Also I didn't imply he was a terrorist.

Anyone else relieved at the end that it was only 8....?

Thought that the team he put out did as well as could be expected. Tactically it was a nightmare. We tried to compete. I think we had 15 shots. Scored 2 goals and missed a penalty. That's the best we've done offensively at OT for many a year.

But they had 25 shots FFS. Has Wenger never heard on cutting your losses. Why the f*ck didn't he just bring everyone back into the box and lose 3-1 or 4-1....?

The only plus point (apart from the magnificent support) was that his hand might now be forced over transfers in the next few days as no-one can say in all serious that the current squad is good enough! That may not have happened if we'd lost by one or two.
