Perrin is coming

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Surprisingly I haven't heard that Madrid, Barca, City or Chelsea are in the running for him
There's a real whiff of a Sebastien Squillaci off this one
How lucky we were to have a CB pairing of Silvestre and Squillaci on more than a few occasions :barscarf: :barscarf:
Worry ye not my friend - we will shortly progressing to Perrin and Mings and we'll be the envy of Europe's elite once more

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
Then we shall rejoice and sing about that Spanish bloke...

JUAN HASSEN VENGA!! :barscarf: :barscarf:

My mate that supports West Ham really rates him.

He also thinks West Ham are ok though so I wouldn't trust him.

Jesus Christ man, surely we can do better than Winston reid ? If his contract wasn't almost up, would anybody consider spending £10m on him ? That for me is the important point......is he good enough to justify spending a proper transfer fee on ? Maybe up to this season we could argue that as a back up player he would be a good value signing, but I think that it is clear that we now need a quality centre back that can step into the first 11 now because the BFG hasn't been great this season and kos is always injured

This made me laugh:

"In other news Arsenal are preparing themselves for the loan departure of Yaya Sanogo. Arsene Wenger is hoping for a Premier League switch for the French forward.

“Yaya is here at the moment. He needs more experience at the top level in the Premier League. He’s ready to play but we have so many options up front that it’s difficult to play.”

Sanogo has been linked with a move to France with teams such as Bordeaux interested. When asked about this, Wenger responded saying:

“Personally, I said that many times I prefer the Premier League. That’s still the case.”

Wenger was quick to separate Sanogo from Podolski, the latest Gunner to depart the Emirates:

“He is different from Podolski, Podolski was frustrated, he’s going to Inter Milan. Sanogo is searching for experience.”

Sanogo has struggled for game time this season so perhaps a switch may be ideal for the young forward in order for him to gain experience and grow into a quality central striker in the Premier League.

Are they seriously trying to tell us French teams would want him? Even they aren't that stupid!

I liked Wenger's response though... even he realises that no-one else would take him so says he can only go on loan in the PL

You should see my Mrs...

As for the window... Reid and Wanyama and I'll be a happy man. Yes we could do better (i.e. a Chiellini, a Pogba etc.) with a more ambitious manager, but given the circumstances (read: how shit we are), those two would strengthen us greatly in my opinion 8)

In hindsight the Summer window signings have all proved decent. Alexis and Debuchy look quality, Chambers has definitely shown promise and Ospina looks solid (so far). Even Wellbeck has done OK (for the money).

It was the positions we didn't address that have cost us.

I'd love to see Hummels and Pogba, but any upgrade would be welcome.
If signing Reid on the cheap enabled us to splash the cash for a top DM then I'd take that.
