I am pleasantly surprised and pleased that we will leave the EUSSR.

The hysteria is almost amusing. Things will steady up. I have faith in the country. Although I hope the country remains together.

Complaining about older people depriving the younger generation of opportunities - maybe if more than about 40% of 18-24 year olds were bothered enough about their future to vote then the referendum would have gone differently.

Privileged younger people do not understand the predicament of people from less well-off backgrounds and instead call them stupid and idiots for not agreeing with their views - after all you've got a university degree so you must be right?

People who have gone to great school and lived in big houses, sailed through school and gone to university (part-funded by parents), gallivanted around Europe and walked into high-paying jobs and comfortable lifestyles cannot understand why the masses who will never be able to go inter railing or do a year abroad at university or go and nail down a good job working abroad have different perspectives on the extent of the 'opportunities' offered.

This is a critical time for our country's future and we are in unchartered waters. But so far we've made it nearly a whole day without the sky falling in, which is an achievement in itself if you listen to some. Taking the university abroad theme (which is a big thing for a lot of complaining younger people), I've seen so many people claiming that opportunity has been denied to younger people now. As if Erasmus has no non-EU members. As if it is going to ignore the country with the best higher education institutions in Europe and deny all EU citizens access to those.

Younger people need to understand about democrCy a bit more - it's not about always getting what you want.

The common consensus is that Leave voters are the same as Trump supporters. I know that's not true. But I hope like hell we dont have the same result.

The slander and vitriol continues. It's quite sad that people have reacted so bitterly.
No British government since we joined the EU has ever fully trusted it.
So much scaremongering and fear for the future continues. No one ever knows what happens in the future now everyone is scared of it. Don't worry Kim Khardashian will take a nude selfie and everyone will forget at the Brexit, thats how modern Britain works.
No wonder the 55+ voted out, simply don't trust the celeb selfie obsessed millenials to look after the country's identity.

SlyNews certainly have an agenda. The only Remain people they've interviewed have been obviously educated people with at least a basic grasp of economics etc that can speak well. Whereas the only Leave people they seem to have interviewed have been xenophobic Little Englanders that can't grunt much more than "We's English. We don't want them foreigners and immigrants here."

They are not making the English people look too good... :|

The media in general are portraying ANYONE who voted "Leave" as uneducated racist retards.
Also the day before the vote there was a discussion on sky where the two Remain representatives demanded assurances from the Leave representatives that "they would unconditionally accept the result of referendum as it would be the choice of the people." Fast forward 24 hours, and they are demanding a 2nd referendum as the result didn't go THEIR way. The scary thing is they may very well subvert the democratic process and get it! :banghead:

You did see Nigel Farage say if it was a 52-48 win for Remain he wouldn't accept it didn't you? For what it is worth I haven't signed the petition for a second referendum as we should accept the one we had. However it is really funny to see all those people now saying they wish they hadn't voted leave. At least it would be funny if it wasn't so serious.
