also jenkinson is still technically on our books, will he be given a chance? do i care one way or the other? what am i posting about again?

he's a RB - watch the soton videos - very quick and comfortable going forward from the back. not a wing back but an RB who can build the play like Lee Dixon.northbank123 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 3:28 pmWhere is chambers going to play?
Unsurprisingly being thrown in as a CB after 25 senior games and having never played there before didn’t immediately work out. Is that his best position or is he a RB?
Except that's not true. Emery was asked what he thought of Wenger and he was being a gentleman and praising him as he should. What on earth where you expecting him to do in his first press conference, slag Wenger off?DB10GOONER wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 6:01 amTrust me if you chubby balding middle aged spackers were relying on the faux mods you would have nowhere to post all your gashtalk because this place would have been closed down long ago.GoonerMuzz wrote: ↑Mon Jul 02, 2018 11:34 pmMethinks DB10 is getting more tyrannical by the day, now i'm not saying it's little man syndrome or an inferiority complex but as some of the other more responsible Mods have slacked off, well as the saying goes 'power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely'![]()
Anyway back on topic much as i'm relatively pleased with UE and whats happening so far i'm still a bit worried over the earlier comments he made about he'd rather win 4-3 than 1-0...... that attitude didn't really work well before now and caused absolue calamities to abound![]()

A few of our lesser posters (1989 OneDwarf etc) have gone into full hysterical girl mode and think they've found Christ and that Dick is somehow in league with their view of Wenger and they couldn't be more wrong. Dick has gone on record numerous times hailing Wenger as an inspiration a mentor and one of the true greats of the game. And he has spoken about his admiration for the Wenger "style".
Might be interesting to see some flip flop bipolar rants on here next April....![]()

Sorry but you have never seen Chambers play if you think the word 'quick' could ever be applied to him mate!!!! Chambers is SLOWWWWWWW, a little faster than Mertesacker but not much.very quick and comfortable going forward from the back
True. "Pace" is not a word I'd associate with Chambers tbh. Still as with every single one of our players (Comedy Iwobi aside obviously) it will be interesting to see how he might develop in a proper coached disciplined system.
Huh? Are you really saying Dick sacked Wenger's old staff as some form of disrespect? As an insult? Not because he (like almost every manager in world foitball) has his own people that he knows and trusts and that know how he works?clockender1 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 7:18 pmhe's a RB - watch the soton videos - very quick and comfortable going forward from the back. not a wing back but an RB who can build the play like Lee Dixon.northbank123 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 04, 2018 3:28 pmWhere is chambers going to play?

as for Dick worshipping the ex-manager, yeah he loved him so much that he immediately sacked his staff and let the golden wheelchair head for Turkey![]()
go check out the Southampton videos - he beats a few players then curls the ball into the channels for the forwards.

Look chaps I'm sorry it doesn't fit the "everybody must hate Wenger" agenda but the simple truth is that he is still well respected outside of a portion (us) of our fanbase. Most people in the game know he is past his sell by date sure, but they also admire him for what he achieved in that first 10 years. And why wouldn't they? They didn't have to suffer the last decade of repeated stupid ego-driven mistakes and failures like we did.
Dick is a Wenger lover. Does that make him less of a manager? No of course not. But ffs let's have a bit of reality on here for a change.![]()

lol.
it was also seen that out of all the kids in training - willock, nelson, maitland etc only Emile Smith Rowe played on the first XI side in the 11 aside shirts v bibs match at the end.
interesting times - I'm buzzing for July 14th.
I agree with you there augie. He is not rated as a top manager in the modern game, but as a former top manager, and I'd be amazed if he picked up any big job now at his age and with what he served up for the last decade. But he is still respected by the majority of people at the top level of the game. Employable? No. Respected? Yes.augie wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 4:43 pmDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:25 amHuh? I understand and agree with some of what you are saying, but the bottom line is that he is out of a job for over 2 months now, and no c.unt seems interested in employing him - respected on past histories of course, but his status as a top manager is shattered and while I agree that most managers want their own staff alongside them, it also has to be said that every one of our coaches would have been badly tainted by association with the most disorganised team in any of the top divisions. I stand to be corrected of course, but have any of our released staff members picked up a job elsewhere since ? I said all along that bould should have gone with them too, and his unwillingness to speak up will certainly have come back to bite him on the arse too
