Vieira will be a good player one day.......but not in the PL, he's like a little boy and nothing will change that. He needs to go to Spain or Italy where you get half an hour on the ball for each pass
So true. Fuck the result !! :barscarf: :barscarf:

When Vieira plays we have 10 players, possibly 9 and a half. He is that bad he actually counts as a minus player. So it starts at 10 as he adds nothing. If his passing is off then we’d be better off with 10.

We don’t have the squad depth to fight on 2 fronts, that’s become abundantly clear after these two legs.

We’ll rack up more points in the league now than we would have if we had 2 legged quarter and semi finals to navigate. Whether that will be enough to get us over the line fuck knows but this result tonight gives us the absolute best chance of wining the league.

A tough draw for city now tomorrow please, either Bayern or Real.
I think the opposite Rodders,we need city to stay in the Champions League for as long as possible,it might distract them (although I hope they lose in the final)
Totally agree robbo, I want them to get by real and Bayern (after 2 gruelling legs each time, extra time, injuries the works) before losing the final to whoever. There’s a few shit teams left in it so don’t want them to get an easy draw tomorrow and coast through.

Pleased to be out of that tbh. We now have some clarity and can fully focus on the main job of bringing the league title home, without having to play on a fucking Thursday every week. Hopefully we've seen the back of Thursday night football for a while

WE really need an upgrade on Vieira. The difference when Odegaard came on we made three chances . Thought Ramsdale was unlucky with the pens but , he was so far off his line for their goal , it's down to him really.

By the way our season is now at the mercy of Thomas Partey’s fitness.

He is key.

Does this not worry people in terms of the league? We make a few changes and drop off so badly so as to look like a lower mid table side. Any injuries and we are toast. So if Saliba is out for even a couple of games then the league is gone I reckon. Holding or Kiwior. Don’t make me laugh.

Before anyone starts, this is not a snide dig at Ramsdale, but when was the last time we had a keeper that saved penalties? Can't remember Leno ever saving one. For years now, a penalty for the opposition is a certain fucking goal. I knew their bloke had at least one save in him and knew we'd fucking lose.
Chesny against Liverpool, got up off the deck and saved the follow up as well. That was the last time, must be 6 or 7 years ago. Leno, I don't think ever and as for Helmet head..............
Martinez.

Whilst we're worrying about injuries de-railing us, just consider what happens to City if Haaland gets injured......ok, it will have to be a train hitting him on a level crossing to put him out for 3 weeks......but they would suffer if they lose him*

*Give me a break, I'm clinging to anything here!

Actually, I just checked his injury record, between 2021 and the end of 2022 he was out injured for 112 days!! Fucking terrible injury record! Come on the hamstring!! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Partey has only been out injured for 225 days in the same period   Maybe Haaland isn't so bad after all....

Liverpool's backup keeper is better than our No.1

Weirdly that champions league draw tomorrow is so massively important for us now. They’ll draw the QF and SF and if city get Real and Bayern I’ll bust my undies.

We need city to suffer big time midweek and those ties would seriously hurt them.
Napoli for them would be a good draw for us.

Ramsdale's been a match winner for us on several occasions. He's not good at saving pens but not many are. A professional footballer should not miss from the spot.

Yeah I’d take Napoli too, no doubt they’ll get an easy draw either Benfica or one of the Milans.
