SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Miyachi is injured, Gnabry is an unproven player (I am suprised he has not been sent on loan tbh) akpom is too young and unproven to play for the first team. The only other team who adopted this policy of playing unproven kids was villa and look where they finished, im not suggesting that we will finish where they did but we will be outside the top 4 unless we spend that is for sure. The first 8 games of this season if you look at the corresponding results last season we won all 8 something tells me that will not happen this year.

Are you paying his wages JD? If not ehy the fuck do you care who gets what? The problem with 21st century football fans is they want to be accountants too!!!! I didn't know or care what Charlie Nicholas, David Rocastle or Bergkamp was on. I want the best players at my club I don't care who gets what

I like your other view JD but you sometimes drive me potty!!!!

IMO 'unproven' is better than Gervinho.
He'd 'proved' he wasn't good enough. The wages bit is just a bonus.

Would you say, in the stadium or in an Arsenal pub, that Wenger should get a bullet in the head?
No, you wouldn't.

Every home game I'll be at Hen & Chickens before, Highbury Barn afterwards.
I'm a pacifist but I'm sure if you pop by and shout that shizzle out,
you can find somebody to give you a slap.

That said, when I went back to quote this I saw OneBard has not only linked to a shoutshite radio story

I think it was 96/97 when after siging Lukic back on a free and being linked with many players we signed no one and had no manager. This was the time that Sheringham was quoted as saying they were "having a laugh at the Arsenal" due to our crisis.
Even though it felt like a crisis at the time it did turn out okay. This time however I think we are in the shit.

This is what our lack of activity is driving us too?

I hope we sign someone soon as this thread is turning unnecessarily nasty.
