Scum match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I've said this several times in the past. That's *completely* our problem, 100%. Too many players who you can't *rely on* to have a good game. All capable of doing great things, but with varying degrees of rarity (rarely to almost never).

Our teams that have won things have comprised players who were dependable, above anything else. Utterly reliable, and almost every game they would perform well as individuals, and that's what made us look so good as a unit. They could trust themselves and each other, and football is a lot easier when everyone pulls their weight.

6 players out injured - This was always going to hurt especially as it's our good players who are injured and our shit ones who are fit.

Spurs up for it. They smelt blood and went for it.

At the beginning of the game, Sky talked about us having the advantage in Midfield (I assume becasue of the extra man). Unfortunately our men in the middle were Denilson and Diaby. Modric made them look like amateurs.

Defence - Losing TV was always going to be an issue. I felt sick watching that substitution take place.

Final 3rd - I am going to get flamed for this, but I felt sorry for Nasri. It just looked like he didn't have confidence in those around him so was trying to do it all alone. This just ended up down a blind alley and everything kept falling apart.
What has happened to Rosicky - Shame because he was a truly great player when he came to Arsenal, but has been about as effective as Harry Kewell in a Liverpool Shirt.
Diaby - The last few games were his opportunity for me. I felt that with Cesc out this was his chance to shine. Unfortunately, this must be him done in an Arsenal shirt. He shows glimpses of being a good player but I think he just doesn't have the vision to play this style of Football.

Finally - RvP fit all season and this title would have been wrapped up.
agree.when rvp came on nasri played the same passes but got an end result cos the player he passed it to did something with the ball.think he tried hard but is ultimately judged as cesc's replacement and he'll never be that

exactly.always had an edu or grimandi or reyes.we still won things cos we could cope with the odd player having an off day/not turning up but 6 or 7 is too many flakey players

Hmm.... exactly, any trouble over there Sam? Probably not with them *word censored* celebrating as if they'd won the premiership,F.A. cup, Carling Cup and Champions League all rolled into a pretty lucky win, when you actually analyse it carefully.

At the end a couple of Arsenal fans thought they could tackle 6ft riot police and get over the divide.. idiots.

Other than that it was fine, a spurs lady steward come up to me and gave me a cuddle because i was upset and the disabled spurs fans below shook my hand and said i was a credit to my club.

Dissapointing result but my faith in some humans was restored!
