The Yaya Sanogo lack of Progress Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yaya Sanogo appreciation thread

Post by spendsum4uckingmoney »

Was it a coincidence we looked a different side when he came on? Was it a coincidence that it was Sanogo's close control that led to the equalizer in the semi-final?

Oh and fuck the referees!

Arsenal are not good for your heart though!

Left his heart out there on the pitch.

Sanogo was like a fish out of water.

Absolutely clueless, so unorthodox but I've got to admit he did put himself about at least.

It wasn't Sanogo but a change of formation that released Giroud to be more productive after being surrounded by 3 burly defenders.

But fuck it, we WON THE FA CUP. COYG :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Yes we did look better when Sanogo came on but that was because he didn't know what he was doing, so how the hell were the Hull defenders supposed to know?

That's odd, usually when I call someone racist it wins the debate. Hmmm....You are a sexist!

Wenker should have moved Pod up alongside Giroud, but I haven't worked 30 years in football, having said that between june 2005 and yesterday id won as many trophies as Arsene

Lets be honest, he is complete dogshit, a great lumbering ox with zero touch or positioning sense but for all that he Totally unsettles opposing defences as he has no idea what he's doing so how the hell are they supposed to. Le chapman also looked better when he came on to partner him as obviously two strikers and I use the term loosely are a lot harder to mark than one.

He had it at one stage, took a bad touch and lost control of it and hasn't a fcuking clue where it is now

Lets be honest, changing to 4-4-2 made us a different team today much as it did in the semi v Wigan, so wakemeup's personal contribution cannot be quantified. You know, if we had another game next week, le cock would still revert to the same formation that leaves Giroud isolated up front, despite the fact that we play faster and look more dangerous with 2 up top :x

He is an honest type that gives a lot, his after match celebrations show he is committed , but if he is your striker you are not going to win the premier league..

He had a go when a few of his higher profile team mates appeared off their game. Congrats to him - he wouldn't have thought a year ago he'd have an FA Cup winners medal with Arsenal - living the dream.

Hope he goes on loan.
Needs regular competitive football an more experience.
Plays as I would expect from a player with so little experience, gets into positions and slows down, as if he does not know what to do.

Think he tweaked a knee tendon today.

He created confusion when he came on - he genuinely doesn't know what he's doing half the team and you could see the Hull players unsure how to play him

He is absolutely gash though - surely one of the least technically gifted players ever to wear the shirt?

Looked like Hankin and Chapman at front at times yesterday !
