Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
According to @86_longo, #Arsenal have offered €28m for Gabriel & are now in pole position to sign him. Lille have a gentlemen's agreement with Napoli but that is about to expire. Head to head between the two clubs with #Arsenal now the favourites. https://t.co/To6v9RxtEf

Reminds me of the story about arnold Schwarzenegger planting a story that he was up for the dud film, Stop or My Mom will Shoot so that Stallone would do his best to get it before him

You can’t have two £30m keepers in a squad and keep them both happy.rodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 7:05 amBournemouth selling their keeper for 19 million shows the value we have in our two. Think we have no choice but to cash in on one of ours (unless Leno is fucked?).
I saw he married that absolute stunner at the weekend, lucky bastard.
When Leno returns from injury Arteta / Edu have a major decision to make that could strengthen other areas of the team when funds are hard to come by as most of our squad are not going to raise too much.
Was Martinez’ run of impressive games a flash in the pan like Manninger’s during the 98 run in ?
Why has he taken this long to get a chance, he was out on loan for years and years beforehand.

I mentioned before that maybe Martinez thrives on no supporters.StuartL wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 3:10 pmYou can’t have two £30m keepers in a squad and keep them both happy.rodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 7:05 amBournemouth selling their keeper for 19 million shows the value we have in our two. Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I would suggest that for a large part of his time with us he didn't fit Wenger's vision, and we know how good Wenger was in the latter years at finding good keepers.... as for under Emery, he bought/was involved in the deal for Leno, it's hardly surprising Leno took centre stage under Emery and when Freddie/Mikel took charge Leno was about the only relatively consistent thing in the team.StuartL wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 3:10 pmYou can’t have two £30m keepers in a squad and keep them both happy.rodders999 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 7:05 amBournemouth selling their keeper for 19 million shows the value we have in our two. I'm not saying Martinez is the real deal but nothing he has shown in the games since Leno's injury suggests he is worse than Cech, Almunia or Flappy so why he was out of favour during the period is baffling, my brother-in-law is a Reading supporter and said he played well for them in every match he played last season and they should have tried to buy him.

The Telegraph say #Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille. The club are believed to have agreed terms in principle for the 22-year-old Brazilian centre-half who is in demand across Europe with Napoli – in particular. https://t.co/B8SvpeJlAd

SSN reporting Auba will sign a new 3 year contract, it's a case of when not if according to them.

We’ve been reading that for weeks already so it’s laughable SSN can dress it up as newsmcdowell42 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 4:05 pmSSN reporting Auba will sign a new 3 year contract, it's a case of when not if according to them.

Napoli ‘intend to go all the way’ to sign Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, regardless of Gabriel Magalhães’ decision. Arsenal have proposed Sokratis to Napoli in order to ‘green light’ their signing of Gabriel. [@AlfredoPedulla exclusive] #afc https://t.co/g88NFI18IX
