Villa match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It's not even the players anymore. I've said it before but I reckon Wenger could find a way to balls up this league with the Bayern Munich/Barcelona starting XI.

Personnel are no longer the problem, it's the manager who is utterly clueless.

Great guy on the interview, cheered me up a bit. A manure fan tried winding me up tonight and I overreacted and endangered a 25 year friendship. I don't know if I'm arsed or not because part of me would rather nip it in the bud now than endure a season of piss take from the poor timing manc.

Anyone else bone weary with the club's direction and taking it out on smug friends?

Absolutely spot on about being the worst prepared club every year.

I don't live in London anymore so my mates are a cross-section of supporters from various clubs. For years I've been saying Wenger should go and they've defended him, "hands are tied", "financially well run" :blah: all the usual suff you'd get from Wengerites but now most of them agree that something is wrong.

Apologies to the referee today.

Having seen the Koscielny penalty from all angles, I feel the referee was CORRECT... it WAS a penalty, as his knee ploughed into Agbonlahor before he made contact with the ball.

Also, the 2nd yellow card for Kos was not so much a refereeing mistake, but utterly thick as pig shit play from Koscielny, having already been booked. Ridiculous, brainless lunge after the ball had gone.
