As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
considering i expected us to sign nobody around a week ago i'm pleasently surprised, shame we didn't sign a genuinly class player though but today has been a small step in the right direction
Can't help but feel a bit underwhelmed by the actual quality of the signings, particularly Benayoun but it made a nice change to actually be involved in a transfer window last day.

The signings still all fit into the normal buying policy of the club. Main difference is that at least some of them have Prem experience which is a plus.
Don't get the Benayoun one at all. Arteta a poor mans Fabregas but a decent signing at this stage. The two defenders remain to be seen, Metersacker promising signing but lack of pace could be an issue, which isn't so bad if TV stays fit, but that is a big if. I don't think we are any stronger than last season.
The club should have made a "marquee" signing, obviously the extra quality is needed anyway but there would also be a feel good factor for the entire club.
