SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Lol :D

Funny how only his chief protector seems to have taken offence isn't it despite winding everyone else up on here week in, week out

Hopefully he'll chill out a bit when Ivan signs Wenger up for another 3 years so we don't have to be 'careful what we wish for'

Your only hope is that (a) we go out of the CL at this qualifying stage and (b) we don't qualify for the CL at the end of the season

If (a) happens then the new contract might be delayed......if we beat Fenerbahce, I think he'll have a new deal before the year is out

Sad really - the guy is completely out of touch with managing a football club in the modern era of £30m+ transfer fees, £100k+ per week wages and rich owners. Woefully outdated in his thinking

All I can think if now is Brian Clough looking on helplessly as he was relgated with Forest - he just couldn't understand why his old formula wasn't working.

And in many ways his demise was of similar making. Premiership era, everyone chucking money around and he was still trying to polish rough diamonds from non-league.

The game waits for no-one which is why Ferguson's achievement throughout the years is even more impressive

Clough, Graham and Wenger all let time overtake them
