THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Ive never supported the idea, that we should hope the team loses, until today. It is clear, that the only way we will see change is if we continue to see results like today. It will heap more pressure on this dictator, and his crumbling empire. I hope we see farcical results to force him out the door. If we win a couple of games, it will allow him some time, id rather it ends now.

I kinda agree with you but this is very hard for me to think like that. I just want to team to do well. It is very hard to wish any bad things for the team and the players. Then again, it seems that there is no other way to get rid of this old wanker other than fucked up results. Oh well... :rubchin:

It's not only Wenger though, it's the whole board who need to go too otherwise a new manager with the same board will offer little difference.

Hello, first post here btw :)

I think at the S**rs game we all need to turn up with fake P45's to wave at our glorious leader. The Stewards can't evict all of us.

Sorry but I feel nothing for this team or any of the players and couldn't give a toss about them at the moment. They're Wenger disciples every one of them and he's moulded them all into his image. Average at best, sat on a big fat wage doing fuck all, petulantly losing their heads when things not going their way. A new manager wouldn't be able to cure the disease Wenger has inflicted on us straight away, but they'd knock these overpaid useless twats into gear and bring some pride back to The Arsenal. No point discussing it though because it's a pipe dream and May 2014 will be too late to fix things anyway. We'll be completely fucked by then

Sadly I think only a truly awful run of 4 heavy defeats or 1 win in 12 can save us.

Have you seen Merv the Swerve in any of the crowds during the cricket? He's the size of a house now :)

"Wenger: There were a lot of positives in our game."

What positives? Losing a match and 3 players injured?
The only positive was booing at the end.

The positive for him is that he knows there are no personal consequences for this defeat for him. He is free to idly carry on regardless pocketing his huge salary without a hint of pressure.

Not even defeat in his beloved Chumpions League will free us from his clutches.

We've been here before many many times. Out of the title race by October (maybe even September this year), a threadbare squad, but with only 3 decent teams in the division and a whole load of overrated also rans behind us who will finish 25+ points behind the champions, we'll scrape 4th and a whole new Summer of "going to spend big" will take place in 2014

Thought this was an interesting grilling (of sorts) of Wenger and why we haven't spent money yet...

Wenger reminds me of a friend who used to tell his wife for years that he has the money to buy her a diamond ring but he didn't
