the 1st 11 is weaker, but I think the squad is better quality.

remember we didnt have a frimpong to come on and kick some players.

I think that we now have a stronger squad than the one that ended last season.... That's got to be good news at least!

My season ticket is feeling far better value than it was a week ago.
:coffeespit: now that we've signed Benayoun that £2k is a bargain

signings are not good enough considering what has left. the fact we've made a profit yet again says it all.
Cesc left that can't be replaced, Nasri, come on, before last year he used to get slated on here.

We now have 11 commited players and more experienced players for Jack and Ramsey to learn from.

The team on paper don't look bad now, we were never buying top table talent and probably never will but we are in a much better position now.

Look at it on paper

Scezceny
Sagna Mertersacker Vermaelen Santos
Wilshere Song Arteta
Walcott van Persie Gervinho

We've lost Cesc, gained in other areas, no more Rosicky, Bendtner, Diaby, Eboue, Squillaci, Arshavin or Clichy playing important parts.

Cesc is a loss, Nasri flattered to deceive.

yes but walcott and song in particular shouldnt be anywhere near 1st choices. the fact there was no smoke bar paper talk re a DM beggars belief.

couple of injuries and we are fucked. would also help if we abandoned the ridiculous formation, as it doesnt suit us, esp as cesc now gone, and played AA23 in his proper position, and then judge him...

Agree Cesc can't be replaced, but he has hardly been an ever present over the last couple of years...

Once Jack is fit I don't expect to pining for Cesc every match...[/quote]

True, can't argue with that but it could have been a lot worse.

Maybe they will take on some responsibility now Cesc has gone, who know, we live in hope.

Absolutely delighted Arteta signed....

:barscarf:

Slighting warming to Benayoun as well.

Still have an odd feeling though, alot of these signings dont feel like Wenger signings, feel pushed from above.

Just a shame we left it so late in the window.

Arteta is genuinely exciting. Thank fuck we got him.

Benayoun has the look of a player who will pop up and score against Spurs.

thats the way i see it, benny comes on does that slippery stuff, then scores in the 86th minute.

He's like a poor hleb but without the shooting deficiency.

Delighted with Arteta in the sense that we look infinitely better having signed him then if we had not. Make no mistake though, the best this last minute shopping spree has achieved is restored some prospect of 4th.

Still, im just giddy that i get to see some new players playing for arsenal :barscarf: :barscarf:

Sick of seeing the usual *word censored* be shit, id like to see someone else be shit please 8)
