The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Agree he was Utter Toilet in WC - But all the service went to messi - and Cav's (well if he does come we need a nick name for him! :D  ) - had to play the support role instead of striker - which is not his normal position or game.

£51 mill - Naaaah! wenger will never spend that much wonga on a player - on a french DJ maybe!..But A striker ...No Chance.

Cavani is from URUGUAY
Playing for the wrong side does normally mean one has a bad world cup

From Wenger's actions in making Arteta captain I think he'll be looking to bring in another centre back who can possibly cover defensive midfield too, no douvt after the Besiktas ties!

He must have been thinking of Higuain. (or Suarez)

Yep! that's it.....

Olympiakos defender Kostas Manolas - they want €10m for him. Juventus are interested in him also.
TBH I've never heard of him so I don't know if he's any good or not.
ask 1989

Ffs, if you watched the World Cup you would know him.

If this is true topgoon is definitely happy. It may take him time to adjust but his style of defending is what we need. Good positioning and attacking the ball in set pieces, something we still don't do well.

Topgoon watched all Greece games at the WC Leytongooner and he is an upgrade on TV5. Hopefully with Shad Forsythe on board he won't become a croc like TV5.
