Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
Not only Miguel loaned out but Djorou gone too (as well as Sqilliaci) means that 3 centrebacks (not of the required calibre, but at least that is their position) have left the first team squad, with no incoming additions = absolute madness.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
"Julio Cesar's agent has confirmed that Fiorentina are a viable option for the QPR goalkeeper to join this summer.
The Brazil international, 33, had been targeted by Arsenal and Napoli with the Hoops having been relegated from the Premier League in May, though both clubs' interests are believed to have dimmed.
Josias Cardoso, who represents the shot-stopper, says the west London club are still willing to sell with less than a month until the transfer window closes and suggested Cesar would like to join the Florence-based side.
"I never made direct contact with Fiorentina, but I did send a close friend to speak to the Viola. For now there is no news," the agent told Radio Blu."
This should have been a done deal weeks ago. exasperation!

Spot On
Love his ' the board are a bunch of monkeys' comment....
But he really hits the nail on the head.

But this one summed it all up in a few sentences with a basic point Wenger out:

Also sign his fella up, he knows a lot about money

After yesterday's debacle I am a mix of feeling genuinely sad - Gooners at each others throats. Anger at the Board & Board (inc; Gazidis) and a feelng of almost relief that it has at last come to this state of (ill) affairs - something we all would have preferred didn't need to happen for the necessary changes to happen.
Why exactly are you angry at Gazidis? He's completely powerless to force AW to spend.
He's categorically informed us that Arsenal's failure to spend is all down to one man so
how can he be blamed?

I would never have believed it had anyone said 10 years ago that Wenger (& the board - they are equally culpable in all this) would be the cause of Gooners turning against one another to the point of it getting physical....A Sad Sad day......and then to read & hear Wenger trying to off-load the blame on the referee (who did have a poor game But wasn't the cause for the defeat) which some were claiming after the game.
I guess there will have to be a period of utter confusion and feeling beyond desperate (and I'm not talking about the last 6 seasons) until he goes.
Again we are now being told of (more) inner turmoil at the club. It used to be a smokescreen of whether there was money to spend or not, the board would infer one thing and Wenger say something other. Now, we are hearing whispers that there is a major rift between Gazidis & Wenger - And the reason Gazidis announced the War Chest (in business terms equivalent to ensuring we pay over the odds for any signings) was to force Wenger's hand to spend, AND that Kroenke has told Wenger to do what he thinks is best.

Wenger brought us all Trophies, Success and Wonderful Times I will remember those times to my dying day. But now in all honesty I do not trust the board, or Gazidis or Wenger. We are being taken for mugs and it just cannot continue.
But now we are going to have to suffer even more because Wenger & Co have sat on their hands while the scum have made some quality signings and that's before the sale of monkey boy is confirmed, if he doesn't go they will definitely finish above us, no matter who we now (try and) sign in the now Traditional Transfer Window Trolley Dash.
We can either sit back and see how it all unfolds or we can protest in every way available to us.
Outside/Inside the ground banners/placards - the latter being more effective because the stewards trying to remove 100 small placards (that will be picked up by the media/cameras etc) rather than a bed sheet size that will be seized and the Gooners responsible removed, even banned.
Letters to the club - yes, I know they'll be binned without being read but it will still be noted that more letters of protest are arriving then ever before and of course comments on the social websites...and phone calls to the radio progs etc.
If we want the changes we need to up our profiles/voices and ensure that it is not allowed to go quiet and slip under the radar, because you can guarantee the club will now be doing all the PR manouevres they know to try and distract the media and to try and convince the AKB's and any undecided Gooners that all will be well.
fuck my head hurts.

I'm trying to adopt the Arsenal (lets blur the boundaries between who does , Says and decides what) policy.
As for feeling angry at Gazidis...He is also part of the whole shytehouse that needs to be torn down and re-placed/built, and if you honestly believe that he is a 'good Guy' then I would consider you to be mis-informed or in illusion.
Now then let's think ..who else is in illusion ..living on a very different planet from the one the rest of the footballing world live on...

Until it's announced on Pravda I'll add this to our signings of Joe Cole, Wilfied Zaha and Mario Gotze.afcforever wrote:Steveo, I was sent a txt on Fri to say we are signing Rooney, I have no reason not to believe it.

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
Why are fans looking to see new signings? We all know it will only aid our march towards another virtual trophy
There isnt a hope that Wenger will make an actual attempt to win a trophy, this will be sacrificed for that magic 4th spot, and a new contract on the table for that prick. Id rather a season of watching shit like yesterday, if it sees the end of this dictators reign.
