The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Obviously not to Liverpool but I'd rather see him loaned out than behind Sanogoals and Giroud in the pecking order.

Those bin-dipping, grief-abusing, letting- it- slip victims can ....DO ONE :box: :box:

Campbell's too good for them, a few weeks with them, he'll be falling over in a gentle breeze around the oppositions box.

Peace

This Vargas story is worrying because it's gaining momentum. Still hoping it's a load of BS but whilst we wait and see if it's true, time for a chuckle

He's staying mate:

“I’ve always dreamed of playing for Arsenal since I was a young kid watching Thierry Henry,” the forward told The Sun.

The manager has told me he wants me to be part of his plans and not send me on loan again. Now I want to repay his faith.

“I’ve no doubt I can succeed as I’ve now played more than 100 matches and got 36 caps for my country, and played in the world’s biggest tournament.

“So playing in the Premier League holds no fear, only excitement.”

For this season, I'm sure he'll start most cup games and act as a good back up for all forward positions. Who knows he might turn out to be absolutely brilliant and win himself a place in the team.

Exciting talent though and 100% better than Le Postman.

I really like this comment from him:

'Here I'm Joel Who? No one really knows who I am. But, hopefully, very soon everybody will know who I am - as that will mean I've done really well for Arsenal.'

Incoming ??

at least according to the Arsenal 49ers

Arsenal signings can sometimes be like London buses # smashing

The greek defender I'm guessing from the "smashing" clue

I am still wondering how the fuck wenger - even with all his long established flaws - Can even consider playing the postman again - When we have a young exciting striker in the form of J Campbell waiting to be unleashed on the opposition.

Mind you what would I know - Only been supporting THE Arsenal Longer than Wenger has been in Football.

I also can not get my head round Sonogo getting 1.) Starts 2.) Starts ahead of Campbell.

There is defiantly a player there in Sonogo but he's about 4 years away so it's scandalous that he's starting now, he should be sent out on loan like Campbell was and come back when he's ready, it's backwards, Wenger is clearly looking to find another youngster to boost his ego but Sonogo is not the one right now.
