Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
He ran around interrupting the post-match interviews on the pitch too. No crime, and I don't want to be churlish, and I understand the lad was buzzing, having come from nowhere to winning the FA Cup in a year.... but... it did remind me straight away of Comedy Eboue. And that is not a good thing.Dan_85 wrote:Seen that video of him prancing around the dressing room while everyone's else sings his nameSeems to be some kind of comedy figure, the new Eboue...

We should put him out on loan for a season and see how he comes back.

Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
Have I left it long enough after the FA Cup win to mention (again) that Sanogo is, at the time of writing, monumentally bollocks?

Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
His positioning is quite good and makes decent runs and coy little passes from time to time - the pass to Giroud which in turn lead to the winner.
He needs to be loaned out this summer. If he gets a few goals under his belt and a few smashing tackles received then he be a decent player.

In pieces Il warrant !We should put him out on loan for a season and see how he comes back.
I'm not impressed with him but would give him time to develop but we need world class options up front as we do in defense and midfield
Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
I don't think he's very good at all and being a likeable fellow that tries hard isn't enough in my view to earn him a crazy income and "time to develop". Of course, if I'm him I'm riding this gravy train as long as possible and good luck to him but Yaya it's time to gogo.

I still can't get my head round the story claiming he was giving up football to be a postman...bonkers. Or the Metro lies.
Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
What are the chances of Sanogo getting close to John Jensen's games without scoring and like Jensen becoming a cult figure with a section of the crowd because of it?
I still remember those wild celebrations when Jensen scored but sadly for him his popularity seemed to fade after he finally did it. Cracking goal though.

Re: The Yaya Sanogo Progress Thread
I think he's going to be more like Diawara - it'll come off his arse, elbow, shin, shoulder, knee and end up everywhere apart from in the back of the net. The one composed finish the lad showed was at Goodison......and he was wrongly flagged offside !Clash wrote:What are the chances of Sanogo getting close to John Jensen's games without scoring and like Jensen becoming a cult figure with a section of the crowd because of it?

I had blocked that particular player out of my mind so successfully. I only have to hear or read his name and I'm back at Elland Road in 1999 and he is hitting everything except the back of the fucking net!! Hit the post, had one cleared off the line, had 2 or 3 sitters saved by the keeper, they score, the league is lost and oh, look! There goes Dave O'Leary sprinting up the pitch celebrating hysterically like he just won the world cup and hasn't just fucked over the club and fans that made him rich. The prize cúnt.

On the subject of O'Leary......still think this is one of the best banners I've seen from the Villa fansDB10GOONER wrote:Thanks a fucking bunch, SteveO.SteveO 35 wrote:I think he's going to be more like Diawara - it'll come off his arse, elbow, shin, shoulder, knee and end up everywhere apart from in the back of the net. Sorry, I simply cannot take any banner seriously unless it is bracketed by She-Ra and Captain LesbianBeard.SteveO 35 wrote:On the subject of O'Leary......still think this is one of the best banners I've seen from the Villa fansDB10GOONER wrote:Thanks a fucking bunch, SteveO.SteveO 35 wrote:I think he's going to be more like Diawara - it'll come off his arse, elbow, shin, shoulder, knee and end up everywhere apart from in the back of the net.
