The 2015 Transfer Rumours Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nope
We badly need a centre half but the arrival of Winston Reid would only be greeted with nothing other than a "meh" in this posters house.

The question here Rodders has to be is a 'mediocre' player better than nothing, or at least better than what BFG is showing currently? :rubchin:

Yeah I know what you mean, but a club like Arsenal should not be buying a 6 out of 10 rating player most weeks becuase he's better than the 5 out of 10 guy we already have. We have the draw, the cash and the status to attract 8,9 and 10 out of 10 players for every position. It just typical of Le Fraud to do the bare minimum on the cheap rather than taking the leap that might make us great again. Just doing enough to get by and land 4th spot, typical Turnip

that would be typical wenger - blow the transfer window on trying to get a superstar on the cheap (isco) who we don't need, whilst the CDM and CB problems go un fixed.

Schneiderlin himself has said he's staying at soton, and hummels would have to be mindless to choose wenger over LVG given the treatment of Pod and Ozil.

its about right that wenger would go for a west ham cast off, but i think we'll get Loic Perrin (who ? ) - french and a utility man. 2 out of 3 of wongas dream characteristics :banghead:

300 odd appearances for St Etienne. either another Kos or another Squid. who knows ?

personally, i think any money wenger spends is wasted anyway so we are better off spending nowt.

Personally I'd love to see There's Only One blow £100m of Wiggy's money on a right pile of old shite and end up finishing 5th. Maybe that way (a) he might finally come under pressure because he's hurt the Yank twat right in the pocket or better still (b) Kroenke sells up and fucks off back to running the Colorado Mediocres and the Denver Midtables

United signing Victor Valdes. LVG doesn't seem to be bothered about having two top goalkeepers going head to head and giving a young man in the form of his life a run for his money

Sure we count on our main man to do the same thing with Cech

And Ferguson didn't hesitate to sell Ben Foster after one dismay season while on the other hand Wenger played Almunia for three seasons even after repeated horrendous performances.

He even made him fucking captain on a number of occasions :banghead:

Can you imagine Ferguson doing that with Foster or Taibi :D
