All the paper reports today have us being very close to buying leno as back-up to cech …………. what the fcuking fcuk is that all about ?? Buying a 26 year old keeper to back-up an ancient geriatric turd is scandalous   If this german aint good enough to be number 1 keeper straight away, then he can fcuking stay where he is too
Is this Leno any good because I don't know anything about him?

I do agree with you though that if he isn't good enough to be No1 straight away, then why are we bothering with him?

Seen a few clips and he certainly has a fuck up in his game - a couple of real howlers!

I'm not convinced by Leno either tbh. Could be getting our very own Karius. :o

Both Flamini and Diarra did well in the premier league. :?

Also, what about Roy Keane, Dennis Wise, Mascherano, De Jong, Makelele, etc?

Being a good DM has a lot more to do with positioning, intelligence, tackling skills, discipline, reading of the game than height.

Give me little Kanté over big Fellaini any day of the week.

If flamoney and diarra did so well, then why is it universally accepted that we havent had a quality player in the position since PV4 ? Flamoney was second rate at best.

You point to wise but forget that he too played alongside some real physical team-mates who done the rough stuff for him. Even ignoring that, wise was only a sneaky dirty c.unt and wasnt a good player. With the exception of de jong, there isnt one player on the list of players you gave, that was big and physical enough to carry the midfield on his own - the others all had players alongside them that were able for the tougher side of the game, but our midfield is full of weakly fcukers who will be fcuk all use to our DM when the going gets tough.
Who's to say he won't get another midfielder in , it's a good start and maybe he see Maitland Niles alongside him , he is quick and strong .

By all accounts he is building around ramsey - why would he buy two centre midfielders then ? :?
I personally think (and hope) Xhakas days are numbered , this guy has a good passing range as well, he rates Niles very highly apparently.

We are all just speculating at the moment , but how refreshing it is that we are getting deals done early even in World Cup year , just goes to show TOP lame excuses in the past.
Guarantee we wouldn't have signed one player before the WC under the od regime :x

The Times say #Arsenal want more than £22m for Calum Chambers after interest in the defender from Fulham. https://t.co/M2AMsi6nJM

Charity guy Wenger would've allowed him to go for half that.

We're finally acting like a big club and negotiating proper fees for outgoing players. Feels good.

I dont want to be a killjoy here, but you do realise that we have only signed ONE player so far ? The french kid is supposed to have changed his mind about joining us, the sokritas situation is showing all the hallmarks of the mexes or frey saga from a few years back, leno has been available for weeks and we havent signed him despite him not going to world cup, so right now all we can say for definite is that we have signed one player who came on a free
I should also say again that I was going to be as interested in outgoings as incomings this summer, but no fcuker seems to have been sold yet either :banghead:

That Gelson Martins on a free would be a nice deal if it comes off.

Indeed mate. He's an exciting young tricky winger with pace to burn, and has a brilliant cross on him. We don't have a player of that profile in the squad at the moment and the last one of the sort was the Ox. Getting him on a free is the steal of the transfer window, as his release clause is over 60m euros but he has decided to terminate his contract following the training ground attack him and his teammates suffered recently by the Sporting Lisbon 'ultras'.

This team looks rather tasty imo:

----------------------Leno--------------------
Bellerin---Papas---Soyuncu---Kolasinac
---------------Niles-----Torreira------------
--------------------Ramsey-------------------
Ozil-----------------------------------Gelson
-----------------Aubameyang-----------------

I really dont understand that saga, and I cannot see how those players would have any chance of winning their freedom :? Tbh I think that it would be yet another death knoll for the game as we knew it if they did win their freedom - within a few years we would see players go to courts to win their freedom cos of the mental torture suffered from fans booing their shit performances

Anyway the talk is that a few of those players are willing to rip up their legal challenges IF the club president resigns and fcuks off - gelson is rumoured to be one of those players so it could be that he doesnt really want to leave at all

On the face of it, I would def be happy to bring in gotze and play him instead of ozil who could then be sold to raise funds - however I cant ignore my real reservations about the prospect of continuing to sign dortmund players. This sven guy was brought in for his transfer expertise, and if he is unable to identify new players and continue to use players that worked for him before, then that suggests a guy who has limited knowledge of the transfer market.
Of course this might well be another b*llsh*t rumour based on nothing other than muslintat's perceived fondness of signing dortmund players

Some of these players reportedly could've lost their lives mate. There's no way you can condone players getting physically attacked by a herd of so-called fans, and said players have every right to decide they no longer fancy representing an organization that failed to provide the necessary means to protect them as employees in their place of work.

As for the legal implications, I'm not too versed on that but I'm pretty sure in this case the courts would rule in favour of the players who will cite just cause as their reasoning. Sporting Lisbon failed to provide a safe working environment for their staff and they would really have no leg to stand on in this case.

It's only 14th June , you are a glass half empty guy aren't you  just go back a year we are in a much more positive situation , I'm finally looking forward to the new season again , first time in probably 10 years 8)

Torreira being reported every where now. Apparently his agent is on his way to Uruguay's camp in Russia to meet with club officials and have Torreira sign his contract.

This is as good as done unless we Fekir it up.

Also, just found out Torreira is born in Fray Bentos. I like him even more now.

 Good One!
