This one has some legs.
Shaun O'connor is the man who brought Wilshere to Arsenal ,the club fucked him off !
Shaun is Arsenal through and through and a former Herdsman .
There was a time honoured system in place that the scouts got money as a player progressed and if they made it into the first team the scout got some money per game .
Arsenal scrapped this system without warning and Shaun was screwed by the club over the boy and now works for Brentford as the chief scout .
As a consequence we have all but lost our London based scouts

I wish someone would be recorded giving it both barrels to that odious wanker Patrick Barclay, the king of all Wenger worshippers. I notice from looking at the Evening Standard online there was no comment from him after the weekend (as usual when his hero Wenger has been made to look daft). Wait till we get the first positive result and a sniff of the top 4 and he crawl out again labelling everyone who booed on Saturday as a moronOffside wrote:It's good to see John Cross getting called out on his crap. Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
Firstly, a big hello all the way from South Africa!!!
I have been reading what you guys have been saying and it seems there is a lot of mixed emotions. I too feel mixed emotions regarding him staying or going. In all honesty it would just be a disaster to sack Wenger now. Let him stay on and prove to us that he knows what he is doing. I am tired of all the flack and criticism I get daily from supporters of other teams and I can only imagine what Wenger must be going through. Also, I don't believe that buying players last minute would help if they are not going to contribute towards making the team better. But the squad needs to be strengthened, I really feel for Wenger he is in a bit of a catch22. But I believe that this season is going to be good for us and I think we stand a chance of winning some silver ware. Here is an interesting fact, since Arsenal last won a cup all the other managers of the premier league has been replaced. (Food for thought)

Yes I agree, its time to cut Wenger some slack, he obviously knows what hes doing, just going through a rough patch at the momemt, I think were going to win the quadruple this year, I think we will go unbeaten again in the league, oh hang on.....Gunner12 wrote:Firstly, a big hello all the way from South Africa!!!

Does it not make you wonder? Maybe it is time for change? Use it, don't use it...

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
I’ve said this before a few years ago and got laughed out of court, but I believe it’s even more pertinent now, but I think that Wenger is doing, (or not doing), all he is doing on purpose.
Let’s look at the evidence…
1.Keeping Almunia as number 1 for so many seasons when he was obviously not up to the job.
2.Playing players out of their positions, Arshavin, Ramsey even Eboue to name but a few.
3.Weird tactics and flabbergasting subsitutions.. (The Ox v Man U 2 years ago)
4.Bringing back old, over the hill players, Lehmann, Henry and Campbell.
5.Not buying the required players that would vastly improve the team.
6.Keeping the same old stale back room staff around for too many years.
7.Not keeping on coaching staff who improved us defensively… Keown?
8.A refusal to buy the required defensive midfield player.
9.Buying players from his homeland league, feeding more of our money into it also.
10.An over reliance on youth and placing them on long lucrative contracts some before they’ve even made the first team.
11.Why did he sign his last contract so quickly…(he couldn’t wait to sign it… no will he won’t he)
12.Selling our best players to our so called rivals…
13.Contracts, why did he buy Silvestre (31 at the time and put him on a 2 year contract.. or was it a 3) Pires???
14. The weird stuff he now comes out with, he used to come out with witty soundbites, but now they seem the rantings and ramblings of a mad man.
I can probably think of more examples but the question people will ask is why and why would he ruin his reputation?
I’ll tell you why, it’s payback for what the club done to his close friend David Dein, he’s never been the same since Dein left and with the kudos he has in the bank, he believes (and he has up to now) that he can get away with it.
He gets a good press and an easy from them (or did until fairly recently), he can easily get a job elsewhere. I also believe he wouldn’t give a shit if he got sacked either! He's a rich man, with a personal wealth of around £30 mil, shares galore in PSG!
Anyway, that's what I reckon! Call me paranoid if you want but it's the only explanation I can actually think of.
I love The Arsenal, I've been supporting them for over 40 years, but this 'man' is destroying our club, it's as though he's trying to rewind it back to 1996, and let's face it, if a new man came in now he'd have a much poorer squad to work with now than the one Wenger was luckily to get back then.

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
Nothing will happen. We will scrape 4th on the final day of the season, win nothing and AW will be given a new 4 year deal. Same shit that has happened the past 10 years.
