Re: McDowell's rumours thread. Enjoy it the countdown has be

Post by Babatunde »

Morning girls.

Sooooo.

Arsenal sold Vela, Chamakh almost gone, Bendtner gone, Park going/frozen out.
This means the Arsenal first team squad currently has just TWO recognised strikers!
Neither of whom have any PL experience and one that couldn't hit a barn door. And you wonder why we struggle for goals...

ESSIEN?
It's pathetic and sad when Chelski are loaning Arsenal players. Arsenal have an £8m profit to date, and haven't touched the £30m Wenger has to spend. Fergie gives us Silvestre, we give them RVP. Chelski give us Yossi, potentially ESSIEN, we give them the best English left back of the last 30 years
Essien IF he comes, is finished. Crock. His knees are gone, though our medical team would work wonders I'm sure

Oh speaking of Yossi, whom so many Arsenal fans were raving about last year: he's just signed for Sam Allardyce's West Ham. Recently promoted. That's his level, but apparently he's good enough for Arsenal, showing our sorry level

It's ridiculous at Arsenal now. It's like watching a Private Equity company asset stripping: cut overheads where u can, get rid of the best and highest paid employees, replace them with duds who are cheaper (and shitter), charge far more for a weaker product. Bingo!

In 2 years Arsenal have sold off £135 million worth of players, losing 9 first team regulars

Utter DISGRACE

Bendtner has obviously worked his way out, and its not a massive miss - but he is a proven goalscorer in the prem (albeit not prolific) and has had some good spells for us.....id rather have him than Chamakh and Park...

They are looking for a short term 8 hour loan deal but SWANSON has declined to comment or appear at the Training ground gates.

The lack of any Sky Sports News interest in the comings and goings at the Gooners is as usual laughable.

Said that to the wife and kids this morning - so far I have seen reporters at citeeh, the scum, sunderland, chavski, west sham and qpr nobody near us and we are hardly being mentioned in the studio even

De Jong: £5 million
Dempsey: £7 million
Dembele: £15 million
Cesar: £1.5 million
Vertonghen: £10 million

Arsenal could have rebuilt a whole team for £38 mil. Having sold so far for £46 million.

Wenger you absolute :censored:

True. But personally I'd deffo leave De Jong ( ) and maybe even Dempsey ( :!: :? ) off that list. Not top quality and not that much better than what's here...

No doubt though Arsene and this Board have no real clue how to strengthen a team properly. Having said that I still think Cazorla and Podolski will be good signings. Geroud maybe too.

Actually, I change my mind RE Dempsey. £7million is a snip. I'd take him.

To be honest, I don't mind Essien on loan for cover. We also have Frimpong and Coquelin (who I think is better at his role than Song will ever be).

Then again, I think that I am just resigned to us not strengthening, thus lowering my own standards. A bit depressing really.... :?

£4mill is fuck all, true. :rubchin:

But I've never been a fan of De Jong tbh. Seems to be thuggish for the sake of it and doesn't offer a whole lot as a footballer.

Still, £4million would be worth it just to unleash him against Stoke twice a season and watch their supposed "hard men" get kicked around by a pwooppah nawty boy!

Never as simple as that.......Inter Milan couldnt afford De Jongs wages - so i doubt we could. If you pay one player big bucks (esp a midfield lump like that) then others ie Walcott will have reason to demand more. Id only have Vert off that list to be honest....Dempsey is good - but id rather take Yossi back myself!

De Jong knows his job and he does it well, although probably quite prone to the rash tackle. The thing is what would his wages be? Then you add on the signing bonus, etc.

If we actually had a club with a proper wage structure which was a reflection of the wealth of the club, I'd have him in a heartbeat.
