Arsenal could have rebuilt a whole team for £38 mil. Having sold so far for £46 million.

Wenger you absolute :censored:

Never as simple as that.......Inter Milan couldnt afford De Jongs wages - so i doubt we could. If you pay one player big bucks (esp a midfield lump like that) then others ie Walcott will have reason to demand more. Id only have Vert off that list to be honest....Dempsey is good - but id rather take Yossi back myself!
1. We have far more dosh than Inter. Fact.
2. If Spuds can afford Dembele wages, we certainly can. We have CL cash and £3 mil a game, no excuses. Dembele was on £25k a week at Fulham and Spuds have doubled it....meaning Dembele is still being paid less than Chamakh, Diaby, Denilson, Bendtner, Djourou and Shitachi. FACT.
3. If Walcott demands more, laugh at the imbecile and sell him. Fact is Arsenal do not have a single player who is good enough to make wage demands. Almost every last one of the people in that current squad, Cazorla, Vermaelen and Sagna excluded, are to my mind, nobodies in football. If Chesney, Gibbs and Jenkinson start asking for more then let them go and find a PL club that would let them drive the team bus, yet alone pick them and pay them!!

Imagine selling Wally walnut for 12m and buying Clint Dempsey for 7m - now that would be good business 8) DB10 I have to disagree with your assessment of Dempsey - yes he ain't xavi or ineista quality but he is a proven international player that would bring in a regular supply of goals plus he would be a huge upgrade on feo and isn't improving our team what this should be all about ? We have long since accepted that our days of competing at the top level of the transfer market are gone forever (or at least until wenger and kroenke fcuk off  ) so we need to shop in the next tiers down and IMO Dempsey is in that bracket - top top quality he isn't but still more than good enough for us especially at that fee. He has since turned down villa cos he wants to go to the victims but I reckon staying in London for champs lge football would be more important for him

Clint Dempsey scores goals from midfield. FACT
Arsenal have not had a proper goalscoring midfielder since Cesc left. FACT.
Last season, RVP outscored the entire Arsenal midfield by over 80%. (ridiculous stat) FACT.
Arsenal have zero goal threat from midfield: Gervinho? LOL. Walcott? Hah. Diaby? LMFAO. Cazorla might get a few, so far we don't know that yet.
Clint Dempsey poses an aerial threat and actually scores with his head. FACT.
Clint Dempsey is a serious threat from set-pieces FACT.
Clint Dempsey is two-footed and hence poses a threat and solution for different midfield issues. FACT.

Now. When you consider that the pregnant forehead, the Ivorian Tony Daley cost Arsenal £12.5 million, and that in a single season last season Dempsey scored more goals from midfield than Gervinho will score in his career in England, could someone please tell me how they could possibly turn their nose up at Dempsey, but champion mediocre players like Benayoun? Curious to hear...

Guys can someone please help explain something to me, as am confused?
Arsene goes on about Chelski and their 'financial doping'....so could someone please explain to me why Wenger was happy to use Chelski to save money by taking the cheapskate way out of loaning Yossi??
And could anyone tell me why Wenger has again gone back to Chelski to lodge a loan bid for Essien this time? If they are so corrupt, why is Wenger happy to deal with them when it saves him cash?
:rubchin: :rubchin:

I was also going to ask why if we couldn't compete with Citeh we would happily sell them Nasri, Bayor, Clichy etc but that's just being facetious now...

I really don't get that EVEN when Wenger gets quite a good transferkitty every year, he still manages to make a profit and don't even touches the reserved 30, 35 of 40 million pounds.

If I were him I would, just for one time, buy the club a big name for 30 million. Just once. So that everyone would just shut up for once.

He would be glad, the financial department wouldn't be in tears considering that Wenger never ever touches his own budget but chooses to use little of all the funds he creates himself by selling his best players, and the player in question would be happy.

And ofcourse: WE WOULD BE HAPPY!

So please let it happen. Bring on Cavani, Hulk, Falcao, Ganso or even MVila today. Just for this one time!
