World Cup 2014 Squads and Games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thanks for the laughs.
you support an english football club.

Don't see the correlation whatsoever. Only one Arsenal player featured for England this World Cup.
if you dont like mother england, why choose to support an english sport and english club, and an english (the oirish on here are just england junior really but they hate to admit it...!)? why not stick to a yankee sport and yankee team and f off down the lane...i mean down fenway and support the red sox
I do like England, I spent 2 weeks there in March (at Arsenal matches for a good bit of it, wouldn't you know) but I think your national football side is in a comedic state at the moment. I want England to do well, I just think it's funny when they don't because the problems are so obvious and they're never addressed.

sounds familiar!

Nice try mate, but losing to our former colonies at sports we invented is nothing new. Fotunately for you lot no other *word censored* plays shitty American 'football' or baseball so you'll never know what it's like :box:
Now now.....they do invite the odd Canadian team to play in a tournament arrogantly named The World Series !

Bollocks I didn't. Putting words in people's mouths is not cool.
I did say 'I think'

Possibly Augie then? All I know is that people were raving about him despite the fact anyone with an even semi-trained eye could see he was another one paced plodding kicking machine, like Fellaini :D
Tiote is shit and a *word censored*, a glorified Frimpong

Still think Fellaini would do well for us btw. He would bring a physical presence to our tippy tappy style.

Not that I really give a shit about England's performance in this or any other world cup but I think you'll find that Australia finished with no points, which is worse than England. Also to say that every single one of our past colonies outperformed England is just daft- did Jamaica play in it? Did Belize make an appearance? Did South Africa, Malta, Cyprus, Guyana, Burma, India, Pakistan, Montserrat, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia or Fiji to name but a few pop up and win more matches? If they did, then well done to them because they've kept it secret.

All of your former colonies in the tournament. Don't be trite.

Australia can take more from their first two performances than England can. You managed 1 point in a tepid draw against a Costa Rica side that were already through.
Then be specific.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out I wasn't referencing Montserrat or Fiji.

Does it take a genius to know that Montserrat is still a British Overseas Territory rather than a former one?

I used to work with a woman from Montserrat who always told me that Montserrat used to be a colony then became an Overseas Territory which should have given her more rights to settle in Britain when the volcano went off but it didn't. It used to be part of the Leeward Islands colony. Anyway, Steve0, any transfer news?
