Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
Timing of the story doesn't exactly scream credibility to me. Either it's a hatchet job or the prick has buried it until now because he wanted to be soft on the club/Wenger.

I'd rather Wenger not piss the money away so that a new manager can have it next season (even if it means this season being a write-off) or spend it on somebody quality who will be great for us this year and beyond.

Seen the highlights of that last night and tbf carragher was 100% on the money - there is no doubt that everything he said practically came from the mouths of Arsenal fans everywhere and asked, if cabaye and michu were so highly rated, why werent they signed two months ago

Richards is injury prone but given a choice between signing him or signing that average centre half donkey from swansea then I would pick micah richards every day of the week

Surely, if the club have faith in chesney, then they only sign a keeper like julio cesar who will be a short term two year stop gap at most ? Bullshit imo
Have to say (again) that pardew is a wankstain of the highest degree but I dont blame him for having a rant at the move for his player on the day of their match - we could have waited until last night or this morning (out of respect to the player, to make our "offer". I am praying to jesus that our "bid" will spring psg into action and they blow us out of the water in this deal cos given a choice I would rather pay over the odss for michu than pay over the odds for cabaye

Agree with you on this! One more evidence of wenger's arrogance.augie wrote:swimmer1 wrote:Carragher gave it some on Mnf and kind of said how it is although I had subtitles up I think he was saying we are going to panic buy and arsenal take the piss at the supporters .fair enough

Agree on both counts.northbank123 wrote:I know we're paper-thin but Wenger had better not go out and spunk away £40-50m on three average players like Cabaye, Williams and co.

Jock Stein once said: ''the Celtic jersey doesn't shrink to fit inferior players'' ... if only we had people with that sort of mentality managing our club these last few years.
Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
When Arsene Wenger says his players have great spirit he means they dont have a ghost of a chance of winning anything !
Agree to buy nowt ,get rid of the prof ,bring in fresh blood end season !

From The Guardian:
Juventus's Paul Pogba and former Milan, and Arsenal, man Mathieu Flamini are the men lined up to bolster the Gunners midfield. Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic will be jammed in the trolley alongside Swansea's Michu and half a dozen tins of beans that have found their way in there in the confusion. And the defensive crisis will be eased by the arrival of Manchester City's Micah Richards and Schalke full-back Atsuto Uchida.

If we sign Begovic, Micah Richards, Paul Pogba and a top striker, I will be satisfied.

Transfers, huh?

Re: SUMMER TRANSFERS - Deals, Rumours and Buy/Sell Wish List
I don't understand why our bid stopped Cabaye playing last night. According to that joker mouthed prick Pardew we caused them to lose 4-0.
So did Cabaye tell them he wanted to leave then??

I would presume so. Pardew said he wasn't in the right mental state which translates to ' i'm not getting injured whilst a bigger club comes'.kiwomya wrote:I don't understand why our bid stopped Cabaye playing last night. According to that joker mouthed prick Pardew we caused them to lose 4-0.
