All fair points but the reality is that he is considerably better than Giroud (and I'm no Giroud hater by any means) and to mention le postman in the same sentence as ballotelli is offensive to the Italian. We won't spend big on a striker at this stage, and in all honesty we all know that he won't buy a striker at all, but £16m for a team that has Giroud as its number 1 striker, would def be a risk worth taking imo
Don't agree, augie. Absolutely not. The facts don't support that.

Posted this on another thread but it fits here too!

Mad Mario may have better technique than Giroud, but he will not score more in the PL and will not contribute to the team anywhere near as much. Mad Mario might be tolerated if he was hitting 20+ league goals every season but he isn't and never has. For me his shitty, whiney fucking baggage far outwhieghs the very limited positive he might add (that being a couple of brilliant volleys and a flick or two per year  ). Fucks sake, Song used to do that!

It took Mad Mario 3 seasons at Inter to score 20 league goals. 3 seasons at Citeh to get 20 PL goals. And 2 seasons at Milan to get 26 league goals. And that was in teams where the managers were flexible enough to adapt the system to suit him whilst he was on the pitch. People might say "but he didn't play as many games as Giroud does". I'd counter with "why do you think that is? Him being an arsehole maybe?". Also, there isn't a huge difference in the number of games. Giroud plays in a rigid flawed system that does not play to his strengths under an inflexible manager and yet has delivered more than Mad Mario in league terms. Giroud scored what? 11 in his first PL season and 16 PL goals last season? And interchanged passes and assists on numerous occasions. Giroud always shows, no matter how shit the ball is. He wins the majority of headers and aerial balls he goes for. Can you imagine Balotelli putting in that effort? How long before he gets in a huff because he's isolated up front in a 4-5-1? Milan can't wait to get rid of this cúnt. He is poison. A selfish, childish waster.

I've said it before, Giroud ain't world class. But I'd have him ahead of the sulky selfish arsehole that is Mad Mario every day of the week.

Depend what "facts" you are comparing doesn't it ? Are you talking about ballotelli's time in citeeh when he was rotated with 3 other class strikers ? His time at ac Milan has def produced goals and it should also be added that he is a few years younger than Giroud. As I said previously I don't hate Giroud at all and would like him to remain at the club but only as second choice and back up to a quality striker cos he aint got the pace, finishing ability or intelligence to be that guy for us

Balotelli clearly produces strong reactions, but we should try to take the emotion out of the debate.

I've not seen anybody on here stating that he would be the ideal signing. We all know he's a loose cannon. However, he's strong, quick and supremely talented and would definitely offer something more and something different.

At 16 million his fee plus wages would amount to less than the fee for any other top striker and his signing would significantly increase our depth of squad and our firepower.

The question for me is; would signing him make us worse?, and the answer is NO. Worse case scenario is he does something stupid and is banned for a month. We're no worse off than now. But, unlike Giroud, he can play brilliantly against top defenders and top defences. As people get older they generally get a bit more sensible. For me he's worth the risk.

Remind me, which of our past players was accused of being racist?

I would rather not win the league if it is because of someone who bites people, racially abuses people and doesnt even apologise for it.

What if Ched Evans was brilliant, would you be happy if we signed him? What about Lee Hughes? If Malkay Mackay was a brilliant manager, would you like him to manage Arsenal?

What about Richard Keys or Andy Gray commentating on Arsenal tv?

Maybe you can live with those kind of people at the club, but I can't. Who plays for the club not only represents the club

well said.

i suppose the poster would also rather we dont win anything than sacrifice our so called pretty football...sound like a retard scum fan, excusing lack of success/ambition as long as they play the scum way.

oh for the gg day type fans and all the prickish jcl islington new labour,, guardian reading, highbury jd, bandwagon type fans fucking off.

That "reported" remark is truly fcuking embarrassing - if that is your reaction to being called out on your bullshit comments, then maybe it is you that should piss off to a different forum

Maybe you can live with those kind of people at the club, but I can't. Who plays for the club not only represents the club but also the fans.

Go and support the likes of Chelsea if you don't like the fact we aren't signing criminals & racists, they are 'legends' down there.
Well done Arsenal, so pleased to be able to hold the moral high ground whilst everyone else does good business  I suppose we'll be finding out in the papers soon enough that all those other quality forwards didn't come to Arsenal because they were in fact part of an underground paedo ring :rubchin: and theres me thinking it was all because Wenger is a c*nt for thinking we have enough quality already....stupid me :banghead:

Personally Suarez could have bit who the fuck he wanted if it meant he'd have come and potentially won us the league last year. They're footballers FFS not clergy men and lets be honest some of those behave worse and then hop into a confessions box and hey presto they're absolved of any wrong doing.

I for one will be extremely pissed if this transfer happens especially if we don't sign anyone else.
Absolute rubbish - the guy was convicted of being racist to an opponent (more than once) and then refusing to even apologise.

The like of Adams and Merson had their problems but I don't recall them ever being racist.
Yes, you already made the point about being a racist which I ignored as Suarez will not have been the first person to use racist language without actually being a racist :rubchin: take old Ron Atkinson, he was supported by many black players after his issues as they said he was never a racist just used choice words at times.

You're actually a bit of a hypocrite mate, Merson was a coke head and Adams was an alchaholic who went to prison for drink driving and could quite easily have killed someone having allegedly been 27 times over the limit. Graham was taking bungs again morally wrong, then there was Vieira spitting in peoples faces. But ignore that, you just keep on banging your race drum mate :blah:

You sound far too precious and easily offended to be a footy fan , oh and if you believe that Arsenal have never had a player that has used the N word once or twice over the history of the club then you're a bigger fool than you sound. I personally don't look at footballers for any moral guidance I just watch the football and it's about time people like you did the same

Khedira would be just what we need.
Why?
You won't get a straight or proper answer ,he will just accuse you of being a spurs fan while avoiding the question ,the sun shines out of wengers arse for him.
You find that a lot with the Wenger sympathisers and that's because deep down they don't have an arguement. When you call them out face to face it normally ends up with them getting aggressive. My brothers best mate is an AKB and he overheard me slagging Wenger when a load of us were out for my Bro's birthday, the prick offered me outside in the middle of a resturaunt.

Had it been a week later I would have taken him up on the offer as we got thumped 5-1 at Liverpool, I did text him to ask if the offer was still there but funnily enough he never replied.

If one of them could give me a rational arguement I wouldn't mind but it's like the old 'my dad's tougher than your dad' from my school days............."look Wenger is not a c*nt"..........."oh, ok then how stupid of me" FUCK OFF :banghead:
What does that have to do with the poster above saying he doesn't rate Ballotelli and wants Khedira?
There was a quote missing from the last page. I fairly asked why? But he chose to avoid the quite simple question, the post wasn't actually aimed at the individual but all you AKB's
