The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

2 girls 1 Cup ?

Hayley.Yes.

32m plus Giroud for Cavani ? - thats good business. do it Wonga.

again that would be a "statement" signing like Ozil and Sanchez.

he averages 0.68 goals a game, if that translates to the Prem ? - 26 vs the 16 of Giroud. are those 10 goals worth 32million. no, but money should be no object given our ticket prices.

Khedira looks like he's united bound.

No I did it because started calling people retards. It would be like calling you a fcuking *word censored* wouldnt it - quite personal and out of order.

Why don't you go back to moaning about Wenger/Sanogo delete as appropriate.

Why don't you wait for a while before you come in here and tell regular posters on here that they should fcuk off and support another team ?

Breaking news Topgoon carried out his own transfer when he caught sight of Hayley and Natalie.

No money changed hands but Palm and her 5 sisters did act as transfer agents.....

Some of our most successful sides were full of characters. They weren't all saints.

This "holier than thou" attitude is holding our club back immensely.

They are footballers. They're not supposed to be the leaders on moral authority and clean living.
Remind me, which of our past players was accused of being racist?

I would rather not win the league if it is because of someone who bites people, racially abuses people and doesnt even apologise for it.

What if Ched Evans was brilliant, would you be happy if we signed him? What about Lee Hughes? If Malkay Mackay was a brilliant manager, would you like him to manage Arsenal?

What about Richard Keys or Andy Gray commentating on Arsenal tv?

Maybe you can live with those kind of people at the club, but I can't. Who plays for the club not only represents the club

well said.

i suppose the poster would also rather we dont win anything than sacrifice our so called pretty football...sound like a retard scum fan, excusing lack of success/ambition as long as they play the scum way.

oh for the gg day type fans and all the prickish jcl islington new labour,, guardian reading, highbury jd, bandwagon type fans fucking off.

Reported.
haha brilliant, who to and what for?

just reinforces my view.

man up
Calling someone a retard because they have a different view from you.

As it is obviously acceptable, you can go and fuck yourself.
if only i could! at no stage have i called anyone a retard, bar a hypothetical scum fan. i may have inferred/insinuated it and had my views reinforced by subsequent events (to my original description of current fans i should add hand wringing, but that wouldnt hold up in a court of law unless your names roly.(talking of which is he still banned?)

if you must join this forum as a genuine newbie, rather than a reincarnation of dear baba (and i think there may be another recently turned up), or an alter ego (all newbs should be ip scrutinsed, spendsunmis clearly back amongst the spate of new registrys...) please learn how to fackin quote!

also reported for telling me to do something i am not physically capable of, much to the lamentation of my teenage self!

ps fack off down the lane. or more appropriately victim fc!

given that we wont be signing a dm, and i think that was your criteria for ending this 3rd person speak, can we assume topgoon will be carrying on this irritance for the whole season?!

Think we do not have a problem on the left?

The Ox and Gnabry can play there, and play well too.
Campbell may be a good choice, time will tell?
Sure Podolski does not run much but he gets goals.
Cazorla not a long term answer for me left midfield, but gets goals.
Walcott has hardly played there for us, even when he does it can be for 10 minutes in a game where they swap sides, but when he did play there for England Under-21s he was excellent on the left.

If there is one position in a team managed by AW that will not be an issue, it is the left wing.

So So Reus bagged 16 goals last season. ( with his right and 7 with his left. It's therefore safe to say he could play left or right...

So, if the rumors are true and he comes to us, he could play left, Sanchez as CF and Theo right. I would like that if we dont get a Cavani.

Others may think different and say Theo should not start and probably Reus right, Sanchez left and OG as CF. However I do think Theo has a great part to play if we are to challenge. The guy's goal:game ratio was pretty good before he got injured last season.

Ideally though, I would prefer we get Cavani or Falcao over Reus at this stage.

I would also reckon the Reus rumors are hitting the headlines same time as the Poldi's exit rumors. Coincidence or nah?

Peace
