As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So, if the rumors are true and he comes to us, he could play left, Sanchez as CF and Theo right. I would like that if we dont get a Cavani.
Others may think different and say Theo should not start and probably Reus right, Sanchez left and OG as CF. However I do think Theo has a great part to play if we are to challenge. The guy's goal:game ratio was pretty good before he got injured last season.
Ideally though, I would prefer we get Cavani or Falcao over Reus at this stage.
I would also reckon the Reus rumors are hitting the headlines same time as the Poldi's exit rumors. Coincidence or nah?
Not technically Arsenal related but having watched most of the 2nd leg of the Spanish version of the charity shield, I can confirm that mandzucic is officially shit Yes I know that he scored what looks to be the winning goal (after 2 minutes) but his hold up play is shit, his speed makes Giroud look like usain bolt (& that's no mean fit ) and he is falling down all night like a sniper took him out (although his lack of mobility would make it easy for any c*nt with a gun to shoot him ) Steve O, being the big la liga fan that he is ( ) would be wanking himself silly at the finest exhibition of falling over ever seen
Anyway the reason I bring this up at all is cos some on here suggested that we should sign him when bayern were getting rid......safe to say that le cock won't be mentioning him in his "I nearly signed" virtual team
I believe there will be no more signings before deadline day, if any. We all know what the team needs and it isn't a debate about who should start between Sanogo or Campbell, we need much more than either of those two could bring in terms of goals, game changing and class. Although why Sanogo gets the nod over Campbell is sure as Hell a mystery.
Giroud is not world class but I am sure he is well aware of that so the bashing he has received of late is somewhat misplaced in my opinion. Wenger has failed to bring in a real top class striker which we obviously need to be anywhere near challenging for the top honours. Giroud is a good 2nd choice but don't blame him if Wenger see's him as being all we need.
If he does bring in a new DM, and it is a big IF, it will be a cheap option that will only disappoint us anyway. And if the Greek does arrive it will free up Chambers for the DM role. Square pegs, round holes.

Disagree. Thought it was a foul by Carvajal on him late when he was clean through. I thought he did well within the Atleti system, it's basically very similar to Mourinho's. RM hate to play against that type of striker and Mandzukic making Ramos lose the plot on multiple occasions (not that young master Sergio needs much prompting) helped Atleti win.
I'm not fan of Giroud but Benzenma's invisibility today was a worse performance than OG in Turkey.
Mandzukic has 124 in his career and Giroud has 72 in his, having only played one season less.
I thought Mandzukic did o.k . Vararane and Ramos are not easy to play against and he did his job , he scored and his team won in a "big " match. Accepting that Wenger is unlikely to go and buy a superstar striker ask if he is a step up from what we have and the answer is probably yes.
