Shouldn't be overlooked what hard work we made of some of those other games too. Clinging on desperately for 1-0 wins against the might of Fulham, QPR and Newcastle. Batten down the hatches once WBA bought on Lukaku at the hawthorns. Stealing 3 points off Norwich at home in the last 5 mins.

As you say, it was hardly the lightning fast, sweeping football of the early 00's where these kinda teams were 3-0 out of sight within 20 minutes.

Just a little update for Franksav and other interested parties. I spoke to my old man last night for the first time since the season started and I'm pleased to say he's still firmly in the AKB camp....in fact he seems more committed to There's Only One than ever before

He stayed till the bitter end of the Villa game, described everyone who booed as "modern day fans", still trusts Wenger to sign the players we need, will be there again tonight and even signed off with "I bet everyone regrets booing now we're in the Champions League". He even said that the United v Chelsea game proved that if went with Moyes or The Special One that we'd be signing up to boring football !

They may be getting smaller in their numbers but I can confirm that the AKB is not as yet an extinct species

ONE ARSENE WENGER.......THERE'S ONLY ONE ARSENE WENGER

Personally, I would take him to Switzerland and visit an assisted suicide clinic, there isn't a court anywhere in the world that could convict you, he is clearly beyond help

I see our youth system is still shining brightly :
England Under-21 squad for European Championship qualifier against Moldova on 5 September at Reading and away to Finland on 9 September:

Goalkeepers: Jonathan Bond (Watford), Jack Butland (Stoke City), George Long (Sheffield United).

Defenders: Eric Dier (Sporting Lisbon), Ezekiel Fryers (Tottenham Hotspur), Todd Kane (Blackburn Rovers, loan from Chelsea), Michael Keane (Manchester United), Jack Robinson (Blackpool, loan from Liverpool), Luke Shaw (Southampton), John Stones (Everton), Tom Thorpe (Manchester United), Andre Wisdom (Liverpool).

Midfielders: Tom Carroll (Tottenham Hotspur), Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea), Will Hughes (Derby County), Nick Powell (Manchester United), Jonjo Shelvey (Swansea City), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton). Sammy Ameobi (Newcastle United), Jesse Lingaard (Manchester United), Nathan Redmond (Norwich City), Wilfried Zaha (Manchester United).

Forwards: Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), Connor Wickham (Sunderland).

we don't buy super stars we make them huh ?
