Just a little update for Franksav and other interested parties. I spoke to my old man last night for the first time since the season started and I'm pleased to say he's still firmly in the AKB camp....in fact he seems more committed to There's Only One than ever before

He stayed till the bitter end of the Villa game, described everyone who booed as "modern day fans", still trusts Wenger to sign the players we need, will be there again tonight and even signed off with "I bet everyone regrets booing now we're in the Champions League". He even said that the United v Chelsea game proved that if went with Moyes or The Special One that we'd be signing up to boring football !

They may be getting smaller in their numbers but I can confirm that the AKB is not as yet an extinct species

Personally, I would take him to Switzerland and visit an assisted suicide clinic, there isn't a court anywhere in the world that could convict you, he is clearly beyond help

Yes you are correct it has legs, but I would say more then just legs. I know shaun quite well and your right he is Arsenal man, and also know he turned down Tottenham at the beginning of the year that would of doubled his salary, so that tells you something about him. I don't know what really went on at Arsenal but Shaun was let down by a number of staff
members at the club and he had enough of them, what I do know is there are some real unsavoury characters that work at the academy and its well known in youth football circuit . With the Jack Wilshere storey they owed Shaun money when he left but Liam Brady decided not to pay him and a number of other players shaun brought to the club. The independent storey last week was a true reflection on what goes on at the club and think the journalist let them off lightly.

Shaun O'connor is the man who brought Wilshere to Arsenal ,the club fucked him off !

Shaun is Arsenal through and through and a former Herdsman .
There was a time honoured system in place that the scouts got money as a player progressed and if they made it into the first team the scout got some money per game .
Arsenal scrapped this system without warning and Shaun was screwed by the club over the boy and now works for Brentford as the chief scout .
As a consequence we have all but lost our London based scouts

Herd is 100% right as regards the clubs youth policy, Terry Murphy mentioned in that article was coach at Holloway School, AKA Charlie George & one of only 2 Islington schools who have won the English Schools Trophy. Every football mad kid in Islington during the '70's bugged their parents to go there.

The other Islington school who have repeated the same success a few years back is St Aloyious, but Arsenal aren't interested in the talent on their doorstep, and locally based promising players have been snapped up by West Ham, Orient & even The Chavs. The club prefers to recruit from other continents

My boy was offered a trial by The Chavs with a couple of other schoolfriends but told them where to go without informing me

Since Wenger has been at the club the youth policy has been a disaster, at one time Arsenal's youth academy was
up there with the best, always mentioned in football news alongside Burnley Man U & West Ham.

Wenger is like a poison octopus his tentacles reach into every corner of the club's being. He even turns up at club
catering contract negotiations, probably making sure profit comes before customer satisfaction.

Folks its ground hog day again. I knew it smh, smh. I actually feel disgusted to even support Arsenal. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING AT THIS CLUB??
