As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He's never ever going to be the leading player for a top side - I don't think he works hard enough. He was clearly signed to play on the left but it hasn't really worked out over time. If he could play down the middle on his own it would have been different...but he can't.
He's a good substitute option for Germany and probably for Arsenal as well.
I completely agree.
He's a top bloke, but he never worked hard enough out wide and AW is right that he's doesn't like the back to goal physical contact of playing up front on his own.
He'd could play off a target man, but how many top teams play with two up front.
I wish him the best and I wish things had worked out better but he has to shoulder much of the responsibility.
Agree.
I suppose Podolski is a interesting issue for Arsenal. Some Arsenal fans swear there was much more to come from the guy and he was totally under utilised.
I see a good finisher in the guy, but a very limited football player. I can see why he didn't make it at Bayern and why he never made it here. Good luck to the guy because he is a true pro and it doesn't get better than winning the FA Cup, sorry world cup.
L'Equipe reports Giroud could be out for 3 months with a broken foot. #AFC are looking at Alessio Cerci from Torino according to @DiMarzio.

Of interest to me, is that the Daily Telegraph report the club say Gnabry can go on loan.
With Walcott out until early November, Miyaichi out, and Podolski seemingly to be sold, we need fast and wide players.
We have The Ox, Campbell and Sanchez but may need The Ox in the middle if Wilshere's poor form continues, and may need Sanchez up front if Giroud is out for a long period of time and we fail to buy, even though he does look better wide.
I can only guess that Gnabry will not have too much playing time, and the club want him to have regular football to improve his decision making.
I am sure not too many on here would regard Theo as a genuine strike option anyway. Almost crazy now to let Poldi go with Giroud supposedly out of action.
Now would be the time to give both Poldi and Campbell a run in the team seeing as we have them both right here, right now. We are all well aware Wenger is never going to blow the bank on world class quality strikers so lets give Podolski his long awaited chance.
It's not crazy to let podolski leave and giroud's injury will have no bearing on him whatsoever - ye guys should know by now that le cock thinks that podolski is a winger so he won't be playing in giroud's position anyway.
If Walcott is back earlier than November then great!
When he did the injury early January the standard time to come back from that is six to nine months.
But how many times have we heard a player was back in training only for him to take ages to re-appear?
He recently posted a video of him sprinting.
But in a straight line, not twisting and turning.
Going from that there is a little way to go until he is match fit, if it is soon though I will be delighted.
I see we are desperately trying to offload Podolski as the transfer deadline beckons but its hard to get 10 million quid for him and then for the new club to pick up his 100k a week wages !
If we don't beat Besiktas we will not only sell him but others too and there will be no-one coming in !
