Just watched the highlights on MOTD and found out that Jenkinson got sent off too. Felt sorry for him today to be honest. Out of his depth and no guidance from any senior player.
Rotten from top to bottom.
Fans were great today. We love you Arsenal; was sung for at least 25 minutes straight. Utd fans were bemused.
Did hear "spend some money" and it nearly almost turning ugly between two fans. (thought one of them might be MikeyB)

How can Arsene still be manager tomorrow?
Its a complete shambles and cant see it improving any time soon. Without sounding like USMartin, What are the board going to do about the situation?

Was not Mikey kicking off, I was standing next to him when we saw it go off, not having a dig at you but let's get that straight.

Sorry I meant to put a smiley thing there as I read a post yesterday between Mikey and someone and the situation reminded me of the online discussion/argument (no offense meant to Mikey)

No worries mate, know you were just having a laugh

These women were standing quite near to us when they held that up at the end I was yelling at them telling them to put it down but I actually don't think they spoke English or at least pretended not too!

Once the team was announced today we were on a hiding to nothing but again, a player I am getting more and more frustrated with let us down in key moments.

Mr RVP. Playing as a lone striker is not easy, but being the lone striker you will get more chances. The penalty miss and chance at 3-1 today were another two examples of his choking.

Liverpool, he had a good chance at 0-0. Newcastle had a chance at the end of the game.

I know he is one of very few players of any value at the moment but the guy isn't a finisher and definitely not a captain by performance.

...and so are you with your pathetic posts. :? I don't see why you picking on Ramsey, he wasn't the best today, but he could only do so much with his teammates.

I who'd rather say that the GIC was a disgrace today.....lightweight team, nobody who respects our badge and nobody to bolster us.....I blame the manager :banghead:

NO PRIDE NO GUTS NO GLORY

Post by Herd »

As an Arsenal fan I do not like some others demand trophies ,nor do I think we have any God given right to glory or occupy a lofty exulted position in the league tables , nor even to have the best of the worlds best footballers at our disposal.

I demand only that the those who represent the club at every level from stewards, to the Directors do so with pride and with dignity and go about their task with courage and fortitude and above all honesty.

I didn't see that last night from the Manager nor the Players !

I am not saddened by the result or the score ,I'm saddened that the last vestiges of Arsenal ,our once proud football club have been forever flushed down the toilet at Old Trafford !

Unfortunately the grieving period which began as I saw them demolish Highbury will never end whilst this abomination that calls itself Arsenal continues to daily insult it's supporters.

Firstly fair fucks to our away fans yesterday. the "We Love You Arsenal" for about 25-30 mins was quality. Silenced the plastics. Well fucking done. 8)

Secondly, every fucking member of our team should pay you back your ticket and travel expenses.

Thirdly, the "game"...

Thing that struck me the most? Manure didn't actually play that well. They were good in flashes (all of which led to goals) but the amount of time and space they allowed us was mental. A better team would have possibly got a draw or maybe even a win out of it tbh. We were THAT poor we made them look awesome.

Chesney had no protection admittedly but his positioning and decision making for some of those goals was appalling. He WILL be a great keeper but he is NOT the finished article by any means yet. And I honestly believe someone should sit him down, tell him to get over his ego and learn from a quality number 1. Something we of course don't have but something I would put on the shopping list tbh.

RVP was appalling. His touch was poor and he seemed intent on over elaborating everything. The penno was piss. Awful attempt.

When I saw the team we put out I knew we would lose. I thought 2 or 3 nil probably. But to get jocked 8-2 like that was incredible.

And Arsene's answer to going to Old Shatford with a depleted team half full of inexperienced kids? Just try and play our "normal" game... the lack of any tactical intelligence in the man is embarrassing tbh.

My wife, who knows as much about football as Herd  , even popped her head in the door at one stage and said "Why are Arsenal giving the filth so much space at the back...?" My missus could see our line was waaaaay too fucking high but good old Knows Best couldn't...

I never ever want Arsenal to lose a game and I have disagreed with a few on here that thought losing games would be best for the club in the long run but to be honest it may indeed be that getting prison-style raped 8-2 at the theartre of plastics will have been a "good thing" in the long run.

It now puts real tangible pressure on Wenger and the Board to actually address the playing staff issue and invest in quality. Wenger must now strengthen or be damned by all in the media.

And then I saw Wenger's post match interview... "Mental strength..." "The group will..." "We had 8 players missing..." as if that was the ONLY reason we were beaten. The same old excuses and the same old shite... He ignores the fact that proper investment before now would have seen us put out some quality to replace those 8 players.

We do not have the quality in depth we need. That much is obvious to anyone with half a brain. But will Wenger address this? I have a worrying feeling he actually won't... :?
