The Banner

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Marseille is too much of a risk of the banner getting nicked etc IMO, but I'd leave that up to the other lads. I'm off now on holiday leaving Sunday night so I'll be out of reach until the morning of CFC away.

Leaving it up to the others for the time being, but I'm taking it to Chelsea.

If i could make an off the wall suggestion in relation to the banner why not ask our online sunderland friend to bring it in to the stadium and display it. He seems like a decent bloke who could become our martyr and will go down in arsenal folklore. Our che guevera if you like.

I await with bated breath the complimentary replies i will recieve for my foresight.

Also, if you're bringing it to the Sunderland match and are unsure/worried about the stick and threats you may get from other gooners, try to make sure you're surrounded by a few like-minded fans in case it does turn confrontational. Alternatively, why don't you give it to our mate safcftm to hold up in the Sunderland end? 8)

Because what would the AKB's think when they see it held up not even in the AFC end?

Not sure if that was written with sarcasm in mind, although I suspect it was, but it might in fact be a good idea. Unveiling it in Wenger's home country, where he is generally worshiped, might be an embarrassment too far for the man's ego!!
They fuckin' hate Wenger in that part of the country

Le OB, Marseille fans etc? Anyone else remember seeing that AFC banner burnt in Belgrade, and my mate's banner got nicked by some Italians in Roma.

Gotta go up Sunday. The publicity it'll get now its "out" will be massive.
Why do it when noone knows? That'll defeat the whole purpose.

The whole reason for a banner is so as many people as possible can see it - AKB's, media, Wenger, board, football in general.

No point doing it in secret. Might as well unfurl it roud the back of our alleyway ffs.
